Are we going to see some Thameslink class 700 trains from Dovetail? I have been on these Siemans trains on several journeys and they are smooth, quiet and fast. The only gripe is that the seats are too hard. Southern, South Eastern and South Western and other train companies should upgrade to these trains? tn_gb-gtr-class700-train-blackfriars_01.jpg

Getting this train onto TS all depends if they are able to obtain the necessary licences.

Lets hope so. They had the licence for the First Capital Connect trains which is now Thameslink so maybe they will.

Different operator though. It used to be First when they made the Midland Main Line, however Govia took over the franchise and brought in the 700's

Yes. From what I know, Superalbs is working on a 700.
On the other hand, there hasn't been much news about that for quite a while...

BTW: Siemens is spelled with an e, not an a.

Superalbs isn't releasing his 700 now due to lots of people asking when it's going to be released

DTG should be releasing this... It has lots of potential uses on different routes... If they are going to make train simulator they should at least be decent enough to make the new stock like the 700's... More money for them... As for superalbs he defo is not releasing it anymore.

Would love to see the 700 or the 707 with the passnpass emergency exit via drivers cab, but I think it will come down to licensing

Superalbs isn’t releasing his as his files got corrupted apparently. I reckon DTG could be saving up for something such as a new route as it’s easy money in a way as the train has so much demand

Even just the train on its own would have lots of potential. Plenty of 700's on the MML from Pancras to Beford, whether that be off to Luton, Sutton or Bedford. There's a variety of stopping and express 700 services which use the Fast Lines and the Slow Lines.

Superalbs has released a shell version of the 700 for use as AI only. It is not supposed to be a completed product, not supposed to be driven and not supposed to be anything other than "We ain't got one but here;s something which might do for a while"...

Hopefully that diverts a lot of people's disappointment if they download it expecting a fully fledged unit

It can be driven, it's not complete as Superalbs was pressured & gave up the project

It has rubbish physics, wrong cab (unless you use the 717) and was released from lots of pressure from the community.

This train should be in the game to help BR class 319 and class 377/5 Electric trains for a reason I would like to see thease Dual voltage trains to help in service on the London to Brighton and Midland Mainline London to Bedford

Well you can't run much on the MML or SouthEastern London network nowadays without them as they've taken over all suburban runs as well as the main Thameslink ones, and they're taking over more as time goes on including running down to Ashford soon
