The Santa Fe Railway’s crossing of the Arizona Divide has long been one of America’s most famous, challenging, and scenic rail routes across the great American West – and now this iconic rail line comes to Train Sim World 2 with the Arizona Divide: Winslow - Williams Route Extending from Winslow to Williams, Arizona, a distance of 92 route miles, this remarkable route for Train Sim World 2 delivers enthralling American freight railroading with priority tonnage, high-horsepower diesels, track speeds of up 70 mph, and demanding grades of up to 1.4 percent! the rolling stock: The GE C44-9W is a 4,400 hp road switcher diesel-electric locomotive built by GE Transportation Systems of Erie, Pennsylvania. Keeping in tradition with GE's locomotive series nicknames beginning with the "Dash 7" of the 1970s, the C44-9W was dubbed the Dash 9 upon its debut in 1993 these will run 27 freight runs along the route but I have no idea if this is true as I mostly estimate the amount of services The FP45s were delivered in Santa Fe's red, yellow and silver warbonnet colors, the forty F45s came in the blue and yellow freight colors these will substitute for the C44 NOTE: I am not an American freight/ passenger person I’m mostly a German/British guy so anything I get wrong please correct me
I like this idea- not one i've seen before and the ATSF Warbonnet paint is certainly iconic. Biggest problem is that BNSF (who now own the Santa Fe trademarks, etc) no longer license products to be sold outside the US (never been entirely clear why, but that's what it is). Tbh it's a real bummer as it prevents not only this route but many other fan favorites such as Marias Pass, and the Chicago "racetrack". Maybe someday...
They made the Arizona Divide for TS 2021 with unbranded content outside the USA but had ATSF in the USA. But I heard they won’t use it unbranded for TSW2.
Sadly, any proposals from any of the following railroads aren't gonna happen due to the BNSF Licensing issue..... -BNSF -Burlington Northern -Santa Fe (ATSF) -Great Northern -Northern Pacific -Spokane, Portland, and Seattle (SP&S) -Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (BURLONGTON ROUTE/CB&Q) -Colorado Southern -St Louis -San Francisco Railway (FRISCO/SLSF)
But CSX, CalTrain, UP, etc are in the game and are subject to the same laws- this is something that BNSF has decided for themselves. An outright ban on licensing would make more sense to me than this weird split, but who knows.
I, as well as most of us American railfans, really want this route in TSW, as well as other routes with BNSF/ATSF, BN in it. Sadly BNSF denies licensing outside of the US. Our only hope is if a third party dev such as milepost simulations steps up and decides to develop for TSW, but this dev, like many other American devs, won’t.
