Very much looking forward to the stream this evening even though it’s already leaked! Should be a lively discussion! Also, these routes will potentially be fantastic in TSW! Can’t wait!

That doesn’t prevent them from bringing future DLC to it. For example, the Acela, 455 and so on.

Can we get some clarification DTG? Would be great if Brighton Mainline links up with East Coastway. I'm doubtful but would be pleased if it does. Fingers crossed.

I love the Electrostar, but some added variation would have been the icing on the cake.

I really want to see in this feature of rush hour "the ultimate test of nerve and skill" and " be checked by signals all the time, i bet that this is all fake advertising just to hype the players. I´m looking forward to the routes in this package if they end up not being rushed and inncaurate. As the passenger overall in rush hours, that feature should be already in the base game... As for the TSW2 update, the features included are simply boring and it seeems again that dtg doesnt care about the great feedback of the community...

Oh I see your point, but thinking back on previous routes, we usually get the most interesting train/loco as part of the route when it releases.

Not necessarily. You could argue the 465 on SEHS was the most interesting train. It certainly went down well with the community.

Core update is free to everyone who has TSW2 already - this is already on the roadmap
New routes are a paid for bundle whether you have TSW2 or not at that point.

That's strange... this description on Steam says the TSW 2 Dresden route is 65 miles (104 km) long:

"Bahnstrecke Riesa - Dresden – This 65-mile route features a variety of branches including Meißen with the S1, Dresden Flughafen with the S2 and Großenhain. Also included is the high-speed line for IC (DB BR 101 required) and ICE services (DB BR 406 ICE 3M required)."

But the recent TS2012 route is only 55km long.....? As described here:

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1429757/Train_Simulator_Bahnstrecke_Riesa__Dresden_Route_AddOn/

Is the TSW 2 version of the route double the size of the TS 2012 version?

Do you think we will be able to drive he DB BR 101 on Bahnstrecke Riesa -Dresden, just like in Train Simulator on PC. I hope we can in Timetable.

I don't understand why they put the BR 406 on this route? If you can't bring an ICE-T for it t least put the Br 403 on it, because the 406 only does services between Frankfurt and Brussels.

I know that this is also the case for Rapid Transit, but since there are only AI runs with it, it doesn't bother me much, but for Dresden - Riesa it is necessary!

So it looks like Bahnstrecke Riesa - Dresden will break Clinchfield's record for the longest route in TSW 2 by 1 mile.

Man, there's a lot of value here. The three routes alone are well worth $30, not to mention annual updates from sports games (FIFA, 2K, etc.) will set you back $60, perhaps even more depending on your console setup. Well done DTG.

The nec route would of been built from the ground up as they said it would require to be redone. You got two new routes. And with all the new features. So this no means of a lazy update.

On steam it lists the ICE 3M & BR 101 as layers for the Dresden route, 65 miles long too so we can get some mileage from the 101 hopefully.

The Truro route by Rivet is also 1991 to 2010. There was a mistake in the route code. See separate roadmap article.

It's great to see we're now getting longer routes with SHS, CRR and now these three routes, hopefully this'll continue so we get a good mixture of longer and shorter routes.

The section of NEC we are getting is about 160 miles away from where it was in TSW2020 so it’s a completely different route to what we had there, and with MBTA operations it will feel different too.
