Modern german type: Old west german type: In the GDR the red flashing light was located inside the red and white "Andreaskreuz". All crossing types can be seen with full gates, two half gates per side, one half gate per side or without any gate. and the gate may or may not have these fences (as in the modern type video) underneath. The alternately yellow flashing ones are wrong and look weird. It would be really cool if you could do it right from now onward.
DTG should indeed use these, it surprises me they haven't yet on HHL (as the trailer still showed flashing yellow), even though there already has been enough feedback on it.
I'll add a bit more details to this topic: General Types: Railway Crossings are only allowed up to a line speed of 160km/h not technically secured crossings: - crossing sign (Andreaskreuz) technically secured crossings: - light signals - light signals with half gates - light signals with full gates - full gates Gates: West and Modern German: East German: Light Signals: Old West German: (picture shows the optional "Two trains" indicator for dual-track lines) Old East German: New German: Bells: Mechanical Bell: Electro-mechanical Bell: Electronic Bell (old): Electronic Bell (new): Road Signs: New Upcoming Crossing: Old Upcoming Crossing (without gates): Old Upcoming Crossing (with gates): Countdown markers: 240m: 160m: 80m:
Amazing idea but don't forget the very old ones with no lights at all. oh i think those are on fehmarnline
I really hope the one responsible for the crossings takes a good look at this before they are implemented on the next German route. I hope it is apparent to the developers that what we have in the game does not relate to any of the information here and how it is in real life, I hope this will be improved on! Thanks for collecting this information for DTG, I hope they appreciate it and make use of it, doesn't get any easier than that Maybe DTG Natster can forward this information to the correct person(s)?
