I've been looking through the place we all know as the internet and I've came across this... The West Somerset Railway, and my God am I excited! Gotta admit, I wasn't hoping for a single line but more of a mainline such as the WCML, but this is bloody brilliant! EDIT: I realised I'm a bit late to the party, but oh well!
Yes, it looks great, but will it include freight and, more specifically, shunting work as well as passenger runs?
It may include shunting work since there's an 09 there, but freight doesn't run on the West Somerset line, it's a heritage branch as far as I'm aware.
Nah, freight does run on the line. Usually not for any practical purpose other than to spice up the operations a bit by giving demonstrations of moving around old freight cars, and they even let people ride along in the brake van as if they were part of the train crew, so it serves as a bit of fun.
