Just installing an update right now. Size at 3.3GB. Looks like it's updating the following add-ons: Rapid Transit Long Island Rail Road DB BR 182 LIRR M3 DB BR 101 Support for the upcoming Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck Or in other words, it looks like the long awaited preservation crew updates for Rapid Transit & Long Island Rail Road are finally coming out today. Finally after a century, the preserved collection updates!! Thanks to all DTG staff who made this possible
Patch notes (and it's a big one): https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-update-11th-may.40099/#post-309716
DB BR 101 Fixed an issue with gangways so they no longer produce gaps whilst the train is in motion. Updated Brake indicators so they display green when Brake Cylinder Pressure is under 0.5 BAR. Fixed an issue with PZB indicators. Fixed an issue with gangway plates so they are now properly seated. Fixed an issue with the Bpmmz brake indicator so that it now works properly. https://dovetailgames.kayako.com/News/NewsItem/View/202/train-sim-world-2-update---11th-may-2021
I’ve waited 83 years for this moment... It’s nice to finally have PIS on LIRR, as well as Livery designer support for the M3 and M7, now it’s time to make some Metro North liveries.
I was driving a Class 40 express on NTP and pulling into Huddersfield -just about to save lol- and the update crashed my game lol No biggie and I wouldnt have bothered to mention it but my DL was 666.9 MB :0 I better check the patch not to see what demonic extras Adam has bestowed on us PMSL I dont even have any of the routes or locos. Anybody got an idea what my 666.9 MB was?
Hats off to Nat and Steve; a late night for them last night! I think it totalled over 300 individual fixes.
Let's hope, now that lot's out of the way, they do some improvements to the Bakerloo line next/soon! Surely that's well overdue for an overhaul?! Especially the bugs with braking and being unable to move at some stations - particularly Piccadilly Circus on the 3rd scenario, I think it is! Well I can hope/dream I suppose.
I'm pretty sure you will write something like 'TSW makes me sick' or something. Would be a nice surprise if you don't. Let's see. I didn't expect the 182 to have LZB cause Adams mentioned this in the last stream. Glad to see they made it work in the timeframe!
Great update. Just testing out Rapid Transit in the BR182 right about now! First thing I noticed is, that I *think* the instrument lighting of the BR182 might be broken. I can't turn it on anymore, the instruments don't light up in that nice green tone. Or do I have to activate them differently now? Also, when rolling down a slope with the 182 with AFB enabled it acts weird, when you're over the selected speed it applies full electric brake down to the selected speed, releases it - train gets faster - applies it fully again - releases it. Makes for a shaky drive Besides that, really really appreciate the update, PIS at Rapid Transit is cool, the new timetable (and format) is very well done as well!
I wasn't able to do so as well. Might be in fact a new bug. But i really don't want to turn on cablight while driving in the dark. Now it's inevitable Or we're both making something wrong.
Just had a quick test run in RT. The 1442 sounds quite nice and is listed in the profile now. The PIS also looks good. But I haven't found any S8 services in the service list. I guess they are for 143 only?
Crikey. This is quite an impressive update. The collectables on LIRR interest me. It says in the patch notes that two wrong collectables have been removed from Penn Station and two from Sunnyside yard. I only ever found two collectables in Penn, both route maps, which gave me 101/100 collectables. I never got the incorrect traffic cones. I never had an issue getting any of the ones mentioned to have an issue either. Does anyone know where the removed collectables have gone from in Penn? I haven’t had a chance to look yet. I always used this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1570460133
I've seen that it does change the brightness of the little annunciator lights now. (PZB/LZB indicators and so on). Question now is, how the instruments themselves can be lighted up. Another thing: was the sound of the BR182 supposed to be fixed? For me the sound loop cut is still very audible. Its the same problem as with the BR146.2, just a little more quiet in general.
I thought so! But it wasn't. The only sound issue fixed was the wind sound you heard when standing up. But I really thought they remixed the sounds for this update. But still no 'wind sounds' while driving.
I mean at least the 182 is still driveable or already was before. But for the 146.2... Oh gees, better remove the headphones while driving
I heard them say Peninsula Corridor and Oakville Sub will be worked on to update things from the Preserve crew.
Furthermore I just discovered it only changes the brightness of the LZB related indicators. the PZB 55/75/85 aren't affected for example...
