The ACS system for this route is completely broken now, you no longer get an advanced warning to slow down, the alarm just rings, you slow down and it stops and then it penalty brakes you anyway even if you slowed down below the speed it says

As Scotrail156467 said , it has been broken since day one of lirr , I’d have thought it would’ve been fixed in Tuesdays update

Have you tried going to >50% braking when the o/s alert goes off until hitting the target speed? I noticed that when I do this, my train never bails

That's the way I've been doing it as well. Brake at least 50% then acknowledge.

Do you keep it at >50%until you hit the target. They made this thing pretty finicky

I'll tell you guys one thing though, they really messed up the Hempstead line. Yet, they fixed the signals at Hempstead, they seem to have put reds ahead of every stop, requiring you to pull in at 15. What the French toast is this? That's not how it works. How you fix Hempstead itself, but make the rest of the branch worse/

Here's the thing though, if you notice, at almost every station stop, the ATC hits 15 since the devs decided to put red signals at the end of each station that you stop at. This is not how it works on the LIRR. Other than that, it works as designed.

I really don't know how it actually works on the LIRR route. Yesterday we were explained how it works and shows the limitations of ATC.

Yep, keep it above 50% ‘till you hit the target

Well I'm on it every week. And rode it for years. Trust me, that's not how it works.

Nope. It doesn't work as it should and everyone knows it, even the devs.

The problem is that I do not know very well how it should work. But I see it works totally different from the previous version now. Some explanation from DTG would be appreciated here. I really feel completely lost now.

The ATC bears no relation whatsoever to the actual signal state. It's hopelessly broken

Also on the M3 pressing Q no longer moves the ATC acknowledge handle like it used to, therefore you can't acknowledge speed limit changes and overspeed warnings with it anymore. Pretty annoying. I got two penalty brakings today just because I went 1mph over the limit and then it didn't register me acknowledging it - so it put itself in emergency braking even though I already slowed back down.

At least the bell that requests you to acknowledge a speed limit cannot be turned off. Very annoying, it makes ATC not usable. How could the release this?

I play on PC, so it is not platform specific.
