I just got a 3.28 Gig update but I can't find any articles about it. Are we expecting a release this week or is this a lot of bug fixes?

May be (or at least include) the hotfix for RT?

Edit: maybe not, my Steam's only downloading 218MB.

Normally patch notes are put up AFTER the patch is released... (really weird I know)

Looking at what downloaded, we get fixes for Hamburg Lübeck, Rapid Transit, LIRR and the BR 182.

I’m interested in all the German stuff so hopefully the PZB is fixed in Hamburg and we can drive the S6 in RT.

Edit: patch notes are available. If it all works, I’m in for an enjoyable evenings driving!

    Huh. Drama over.

My steam is still only downloading 218MB (of those listed I only own RT). It's taking forever though.

There are clearly still things that need to be fixed for lirr such as the motors of the m7 not making noise in the whole of the train when playing certain scenarios and services and parts of the train. Also the atc system giving random speed reductions from 80 to 15 when a track is clear doesn´t seem to have been fixed

If they fixed PZB and LZB - I will not organize a demonstration in front of their houses today ... maybe :D

LOL. Imagine though a protest in front of DTG's office in Chatham. That would be quite a show. It would probably be brocasted on DTG railfan tv

What I mean is broadcasting a protest outside your offices is something the BBC would do - they're strange like that.
For example, last week we had Newsnight (A BBC show) commenting on BBC News coverage of a government report on a Panorama (another BBC show) interview that aired in 1995.

In all seriousness though, what I don´t understand is if they have the working motor audio file of the m7 in tsw2020, why can´t they just use that file and put it in tsw2 lirr m7. It seems like a simple fix/solution. Sure the tsw2020 m7 audio wasn´t super realistic but it is better than having no motor audio at all. This method could be applied to most of the tsw2 preserved collection trains that still have audio issues

Ohh I see. U.S news outlets (ABC News, CNN, CBS News, Fox News etc) sometimes do the same

During the last stream, Adam explained some complexities related to the sound. I started to get a little lost in all this, but I get the impression that it is not that simple after all /o\

It probably isn´t hence why it´s still broken. But it's been 8 months and the motor audio still being broken is quite odd. You would think they would come up with a fix by now for that issue on the m7. They probably could´ve asked someone from the main team for some help within those 8 months as well

Having an audio file is one thing, scripting it to start at the right time, stop at the right time, get to a certain volume, fade in and out...
Interact with all the other sounds etc etc
    That makes things different

Something not in the notes is that the Talent can now be used on select S2 runs. I don't have the 182 so can't say the situation there.

A great change. Adam mentioned this. This is for people who don't have RSN (&BR143) ;)

It's for those who don't own the 182, which previously was the only train to run the S2. The 143 does the S8.

Should be "RB81" instead of "RB 81".

Come up for a fix for it? They didn't even realize it was broken. It took like 20 of us constantly spamming the chat in the last roadmap streamwith "IT IS BROKEN" to make them realize it really is.

So in these 8 months they didn't even try to fix it, as they didn't even know about the issue. Apparently noone from the team has driven the M7 since the release of TSW2.

Anyway the rest of the patch notes sound nice, waiting for it to install then going to go for a test drive to check them out.

Did the ICE get added to RT in this update? I still didn't see one at Bitterfeld...

I do enjoy the luminous graffiti.

Anyway, driving the S6 and turns out the Talent 2's brakes are weaker than I thought (now trying to complete a service Leipzig-Messe without my incompitency getting in the way). Where did they previously cause an instant derail?

So is the dispatchbeyond working now on lirr or still going to 15mph from 80 each stop? That's what stopped me from playing lirr.

I think it was Leipzig Messe - when a service began there (on an extra track beyond the station), the train spawned into a block and derailed

Same problem here... when its works in the future, i will hope this will also come for other routes, maybe Hamburg Lübeck (Hamburg hbf) and Cologne Aachen (Cologne hbf), i think these Hbfs were good to expand this with AI trains...

But in tsw2020 they had that all sorted on the m7. No new sounds would have to be made so in theory it should be a simple copy paste but it does seem a bit more complicated I guess

TSW2 seems to handle sound differently to TSW2020 (hence why the 146's sounds are completely borked).

They probably didn´t use the m7 which is quite odd despite all the complaints about the issue which I find quite ridiculous to be honest. I guess they were using the M3 which not every player who has lirr would own since it´s a loco add on. Had it been worked on properly, the audio issue should have been sorted

At least the mess with RT was fixed. I did the S6 service with no problem and did a full run on s2 with the talent 2 since I do not have the 182. RT is much more enjoyable to play now.

I probably won´t be playing lirr for a while until the motor sounds on the m7 are fixed. Personally, I prefer the M7 over the M3 and the fact that they did not even know that the motor sounds on the m7 were even broken nor have been fixed is unacceptable. It should have been noticed when players reported the issue 8 months ago and fixed. It´s not like they have to make brand new sounds. They just need to get the TSW2020 M7 motor sounds to work for the TSW2 M7 motor sounds

TSW2 uses a different sound-compression codec than 2020 did, and that's the source of the problem

They even can’t fixed the ridiculous looping sound in TSW 2 or the Texture glitches on the Cockpit Dashboard.

I figured it would be complicated but this issue has been going on for 8 months and many people reported about the motors on the m7 not working properly for several months so a fix should´ve come by now. The fact that it was not known despite the reports is very baffling as well. One run on the m7 or initially playing the race day run scenario and you would find this issue in a matter of seconds

UE 4.26 has a new sound mixer. Maybe it is better to wait until they got the latest stuff instead of ending up with 3 different sound systems to work with.

That has been fixed, yes. Now the ATC is like it was in TSW2020. Still far from perfect, but at least it doesn't make you go 15MPH at every stop.

I believe that's still not fixed. Just like how pressing Q won't move the acknowledge handle either in the M3, only press the dead man's pedal.

But overall a nice hotfix, I like it. It actually fixed what it says in the patch notes, so good job for the team on that!
