Shame that it only comes with one train. The route itself looks interesting though and the train is well modeled. I'm not sure if I should get it or not though. Hopefully, the stream will help me with my decision and at least the branch lines are included

The cab looks fantastic! :) hopefully the rest of the train will be as good, can't wait to learn more about the route tomorrow! Looking forward to this one.

The route also looks almost as good as East Coastway, but my knowdlege on that area in real life is extremely limited.

Newton and Neilston are included according to Steam Store page. Preordered anyway.

EDIT: And somehow we have more screenshots on the store page. Look fine. Now let's hope there won't be a lot of bugs.

A 385 wouldn't fit into the time period of the route as they hadn't even entered service during the time period the route is set in. A class 380 would be more realistic

My very little, maybe even stale, but an observation. The meeting of the water with the shore is usually brutal. Here, kind of soft.

    Looks ok.
Here’s hoping it will turn out as good as I hope.
All will be revealed on tomorrow (Fridays) stream.

Armstrong Powerhouse, that company with pretty decent BR train sounds. Class 465 has AP sounds.

Armstrong Powerhouse, a third party content creator for Train Sim 20xx (Railworks), they focus on in-depth british original content and enhancement packs for various DTG products, one of the main focus of their improvement packs is usually the sounds, and DTG has been able to use them for TSW, for example in the Class 465

Sorry, silly question but where does it say the time period that the route is set in? (Genuine question as we probably all have favourite time periods). Thanks.

It could also be, then the Class 385 would come on a DLC from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

And from riding on the route in real life I can definitely say at least one of the branches will be there for sure. I recognized a familiar stretch of track I used to ride daily on the video they released.

Who would have thought that would happen? Not one but two full branch lines, a gift from DTG. Anyway, now that the strange world of tiny route predictions and irrational fears of having barely enough room to swing a cat, let alone a train, is finally over we can all relax. Nice trailer for the route, and very clean shiny trains. Looking forward to the stream tomorrow. 9pm UK time, for those who haven’t seen the announcement that it’s a bit later than originally planned.

Looks interesting, although with only 1 train a big opportunity for something new and more diverse was missed, especially since this short route comes at the full price. Looking forward to the stream!

The route looks great so far, but I feel that they missed an opportunity to further distinguish this route from the other Great Britain ones like East Coastway and Southeastern High Speed in reusing the exact same ballast and track combination yet again.

Scotland uses a more unique reddish colored ballast, and that would really demonstrate how unique this route could be from the other two and really highlight the setting difference. It also seems like they once again uses only 1 type of track throughout the whole route which is a common theme I'm seeing in these Great Britain routes with the exception of the high speed sections on SEHS. Seems like an odd choice considering most American and German routes feature multiple types of track ties.

The livery on the 314 looks fantastic. Is there anything unusual about the 314?

Im quietly hoping there is a carmine cream livery for the 314 hidding in there because the 314s from this period only about 6 or something was blue and the rest was the cream plus tbh im gonna compare the loco numbers on the trailer with the real life ones and maybe ill have answers

Can confirm the loco numbers dont match to which 314s had the blue livery 203/204/208/211/212 was blue the rest was CC so unlikely the livery is included

Why do so many people want a 385? It's much better suited to a more semi fast route like Edinburgh- Glasgow, and the 314 is the primary train used on this route (at least to my knowledge). Are 380s used on this route? Would they be more suitable perhaps? I seem to remember them being used on more commuter services than 385s, at least I think they were the last time I was in Scotland.

Anyway, the route looks gorgeous and I'm super excited about it. Hope they get AP to do the sounds.

For first impression, it looks really interesting. While I love commuter routes, I get the feeling that seing the same train time and time again will make it look sterile for me pretty quick. Guess I will wait until it will get a loco dlc and then get both together. But at first, lets hear what they have to tell about it on stream tomorrow.

Wow this looks brilliant, I'm excited for its release! :o

While I understand some are put off by it only being one train, I know that I'd rather have a great experience with variable services and branch lines from one loco - look how popular the Class 465 is - rather than a single, boring straight track with two or three locos.

Looks absolutely stunning! Don’t know how to put it, but the graphics and textures both generally feel more realistic, sharp and polished in this trailer compared to the other add-ons. I’ve really been enjoying British routes lately (haven’t touched German routes in more than a month even though I am from Germany), so this one comes at the perfect time.

One more thing: the German Steam store page talks about a release on June 10th (don’t know if that’s just a placeholder, but it’s mentioned multiple times) as well as 32km (20mi) of track, including the branch lines to Newton and Neilston. There’s also the depot in Shields and a turning track (don’t know if that’s an accurate translation) in Neilston.

Surely the same could be said for other routes like Long Island Rail Road and East Coastway? I know both have/ will have DLC but in their base forms they are only one train commuter routes.

From what I’ve seen of the route and loco it looks nice, though I still worry it’ll feel empty.. This is heading towards a “buy when it’s on sale” dlc. Does anyone’s think well get a loco dlc for this eventually? I’m sure it would flesh it out a bit more.

I'm sure we would most if not all routes that only have one loco have so far gotten a add-on loco
