The Tyne and Wear is a rapid transit network in the North of England which connects Newcastle, Sunderland, South Tyneside and North Tyneside. There are some incredible stations along the line and there are two lines: the green and the yellow. The green line goes from South Hilton in Sunderland all the way to Newcastle Intl Airport near Ponteland. The yellow line travels from St James' Park in Newcastle City Centre to South Shields in South Tyneside. This line follows along the Tyneside coast line and hosts the most stunning stations on the network which have a lot of history behind them. There are several connections to National Rail and local buses along the network at Central Station, Sunderland, Heworth and Manors. The trains which run on the network are 40 year old Tyne and Wear Metrocard which were designed by TOPS In Doncaster. They are being replaced though by Stadler trains between 2022 - 2023. Last year, the Tyne and Wear metro saw 37 million passengers pass through the system. The busiest station on the network is Monument in Newcastle City Centre and the least busiest was Pallion which is just outside of Sunderland. They consist of 4 carriages and 2 double doors on each side. I reccommend not bumping threads like this. Your other one got locked for being a duplicate, and I quite like the T&W Metro suggestion, but don't bump the thread or it'll get locked.
