    I think it's time to talk UK freight. Simply put, we've got BR era Class 08,20,31,37,40 & 47 as well as the modern Class 66 for freight movements.

    I feel we should see a more modern loco. I love the Class 66 but we need more variety, I'd love to see something like a Class 67 or 92 added into the game. Granted the 92 would probably have to come with a new route given it's under the wires but I'm sure there are plenty of routes it can run along.

    As for actual routes, I'm not aware of any freight specific routes in the UK so it might have to come alongside a passenger route similar to the Class 66 on GWE.

    Do you have any suggestions as to a potential route? Feel free to list them below.

    The 67 isn't normally used for freight as it's geared for fast running so mainly does passenger tours
    The 92 is a bi-mode electric, so can run on the 25Kv wires or third rail (so Kent, Sussex...)
    A good run would be the Ashford to London freight runs from the Channel Tunnel freight yard. The 92 has also hauled the Caledonian sleeper from Euston to Scotland

    There's no lack of freight locos, there's a lack of freight route. Even the most freight-focused UK route (Tees Valley) only uses a section of the full route.

    The 66 is an awesome loco, but it's rather limited on the routes that are mainly focussed on passenger traffic. There's very few services on SEHS, it only runs a few miles on ECW, and it's a pretty boring run on the straight flat GWE.

    Adding more locos won't solve the problem.

    There's a fair amount of freight possibilities on BML (many being extensions from the ECW aggregates runs)

    My argument wasn't for adding a new freight loco to run on an existing route, you must have missed the bit where I said;

    "I'm sure there are plenty of routes it can run along..

    As for actual routes, I'm not aware of any freight specific routes in the UK so it might have to come alongside a passenger route similar to the Class 66 on GWE.
    "

    To make it clear to those who don't quite get it. I'd like to see a new modern freight loco which comes with a new UK route in TSW.

    I did a poll a few months back. Class 70 and Class 68/88 got the most with 18 votes each.
