Its likely that, given the past 2 Years, there will be a major update in 2022 for TSW, likely TSW3. Heres what I suggest for it

    Standard Edition
    New & Upgraded GWE to Oxford/Didcot/Bristol with the Class 43, 800, 802, 345, 769, and 166
    A new NEC New York
    A german route

    Deluxe Edition
    All the Above +
    Piccadilly Line

    Deluxe Collectors Edition
    All the above +
    East Coast Main Line London - Peterbrough with Class 43, 91, 800, 365, and 313 or 717

    New Features

A timetable editor to edit the Timetable on the already included routes (Not scenario planner)
    Route Editor
    8K Support
    Multiplayer
    Merged Routes

I’d say it would be more like:
    BML/SEHS
    BRD/HMA
    NEC BOS-PRO
With the deluxe edition being let’s say:
All of the above and MML SOUTH (LON-BED) with the class 222 in EMT and class 319 In FCC

Only halfway through 2021, it seems too early to plan for 2022!

Not another NEC route in the base upgrade, it is too quick after B-P . All these other features are unlikely to arrive next year as well

This will probably disappoint you but I'm fairly certain there is no major update coming in terms of DLC's. Firstly, TSW2 was released in order to make the better graphics "doable" (the thingie DTG call "Simugraph"). That's also why the Preserved Collection happened. Secondly, the three featured routes of TSW2 (SKA, LUB, SPG) are NOT actually seen as DLC's since they are a part of the core game (you might have already noticed it is not possible to uninstall them). This is very different to TS21 which means there will be no editions to come. The only thing that might change are the DLC's above the Standard Edition (meaning ECW, HRR and PCR). Any questions? Happy to answer..

Simugraph doesn't have anything to do with graphics, instead it's DTG's own program used to model train physics. The "graph" part of the name is because the UI is made up of various nodes that make you build a graph of the engine physics.

If I recall correctly, this changed a while ago. Now the 3 core routes should be standalone .paks, as of course that's necessary for the release of Rush Hour since it'll include the three new routes.

    1) This is incredibly ambitious.
    2) We haven't even got this core update yet.

I doubt it would, as Rush Hour is not replacing the core routes. Rush hour is a DLC and a DLC Only.

The way updates happen has changed and may never go back to the way it used to be. Last year was different, this year is different, next year might be very different. There’s no point playing fantasy TSW with your own list of routes to be included, and what features should be developed or the format of a single yearly release. DTG aren’t looking for suggestions on stuff like that. Features you want and route suggestions can be made in the usual way but not suggestions for the whole makeup of TSW, that’s well out of our jurisdiction.

I only got TSW2020 in December 2019 , so the only annual update I’ve had so far is TSW2 , what were annual updates like before that ?

I started with TSW2020 too but that update to TSW2020 was like the updates that Train Simulator gets, where there was a free upgrade of the game plus a new bundle of routes included with the base game. That was the standard DTG style update. It didn’t work as intended on PS4 where the routes included in the previous version weren’t removed, so PS4 players got Rapid Transit and NEC New York included for free (unadvertised).

I’ve already said this but it’ll be the most popular routes from TSW 2 DLC and maybe a new one for the DDE
