It seems like the tipples along the Moss branch are missing? I can not see the tipples at for example Holly Creek or Mullins? All sidings seems to be there however. http://clinchfieldcountry.com/resources/images/crrcoal_map.pdf
There’s almost 20 years between the time the route is set in game and the date of that map. They may not have built until sometime in between. I don’t know that for certain but it seems likely.
I do not think so. I just think Dovetail has forgotten to place them in the game. In one of the scenarios for the Moss you shall drop off 10 wagons att Holly Creek and another 10 at Mullins. But there are no Tipples where the wagons can be loaded. Seems like Dovetail have some more programing to do so the branch can be completed.
I have to say are they just missing buildings/images in the sidings or do you need to use them in the game? So one is just a nice to have that maybe got forgotten or time constraint kicked in to get the Route out there making money. The other would really be a bug if you are supposed to use them. I have not bought this route yet, as it does have issues, so am waiting till people are reporting it works well. I model North American in HO so really would like this route, as I like the First Generation diesels.
Yes, they are missing, you can see photos of them all here: http://clinchfieldcountry.com/photos/fremont.htm. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Moss branch was finished before the route was released.
Our posts crossed in the ether! I might be tempted soon to buy it, once the next round of updates fixes somethings. Maybe an incentive for the issues to get fixed.
You do not need the buildings to finish the scenarios. But historical detail is nice I think. You can also build your own scenarios and then use the tipplers. However I enjoy the route and I am happy that I bought it. But as always - there is always room for improvement. By the way - what do they do with all those empty mines? Do they fill them up with rocks or just let them slowly to be filled up with water?
