I have a question..if there are 16 active trains running on Cathcart at any given time, if I were to make 8 liveries, would that mean half of the trains would be in those liveries? What I'm thinking is making 8 liveries of the old Cream and Maroonish colour Scotrail so that the trains would be half and half when running a schedule service. Is this feasable? I've never used the Livery Editor before, so unsure of how it works.
I thought it just picks out liveries at random depending on the route. Also I can't control whether an 8 car will do ½ one livery and ½ another livery. Often I'll see my livery with the default one on Class 375s of Southeastern. I have only made one, though. You can copy and change colours of the liveries and see how many unique ones actually appear when you next do a timetable service.
In my experience with Sand Patch, where I've made something like 8 liveries for both the GP38 and the SD40, the system limits any given service to a maximum of two custom liveries. Now, those may be repeated once or twice, but I expect only you'll see two or three blood-and-custard trains no matter how many times you duplicate the livery. (BTW, in reality the proportion was 11 red to 5 blue)
