Hi everyone, today I am suggesting a new route which is Ardrossan Harbour to Glasgow Central. Ardrossan is the gateway to the Isle of Arran and mainly functions as a port (just like Dover). The route is operated by ScotRail and the stations are listed below:
    • Ardrossan Harbour
    • Ardrossan Town
    • Ardrossan South Beach
    • Saltcoats
    • Stevenson
    • Kilwinning
    • Daley
    • Glengarnock
    • Lochwinnock
    • Howwood
    • Milliken Park
    • Johnstone
    • Paisley Gilmore Street
    • Glasgow Central
It takes an average of 48m to travel from Ardrossan Harbour to Glasgow Central by train, over a distance of around 27 miles (43 km). There are normally 16 trains per day travelling from Ardrossan Harbour to Glasgow Central. Most passengers who use this route connect on the CalMac ferry over to Brodick.

The trains which operate on this route are class 380 and class 303 both in ScotRail livery.

This would be a great route to see in TSW2 as it represents key Scottish beauty and the rugged Scottish coastline.

    - watch the last 5 mins for train!

Thanks for reading this suggestion and please leave a like, comment your thoughts below and vote on the poll.

    Thanks everyone:)

Ok, here's everything I get from this
    1. Why not include the lines to Ayr & Largs for the entire Ayrshire Coast Line
    2. The Class 380 & 303 never shared time together, they were years apart.
    3. The 303 never got the Saltire livery - unless you mean the SPT Orange livery.
    4. The Ayrshire line is a wonderful line for scenery, but you can't have the Ardrossan line and not the rest of it.
    5. And you cannot, ever have the Ardrossan line without the Largs line.

If you want the Largs line so bad then post it yourself. This is the route I am suggesting and the rolling stock on this route are the class 303 and the class 380!

The Class 303 & 380 never ran together and the 303 was never in ScotRail Saltire livery. The last Class 303 to be scrapped was in 2003, the ScotRail Saltire branding was created in September 2008 and the Class 380 were built between 2009-2011 entering passenger service on 8th December 2010. There's 17 years in-between the 303 leaving service and the 380 starting.
    I agree.

Yeah, I have. And I'm saying 1) why in earth would dovetail make it without. They are literally connected for 90% of the way, and 2) the 380/303 had years apart, so they couldn't possibly run alongside each other.
Also maybe drop the aggressive tone.

Also another note: you spelt a couple of stations wrong: Paisley Gilmour Street, Dalry and Lochwinnoch

Alright... Sorry I meant the class 334s rather than the 303.

Please, all I am trying to do is share my route suggestion with everyone without anybody trying to shoot it down! I don't have an aggressive tone and this is the route I am wanting to share. If you want to share the Largs line then suggest it yourself.

Repeat: I have suggested Ayr & Largs. I'm not trying to shout it down, as the Ayrshire line is local to me. All I'm saying is if Dovetail made the Ayrshire Coast Line they wouldn't make one branch and not the other & the mainline.
I'm just trying to give you some points from local knowledge to help.
The half of services on the Ardrossan branch take the second spur to Largs (19tpd). And the vast majority of services on the Ayrshire Coast Line go to Ayr (63tpd) Screenshot_20210614_072605.jpg
