Personally I find this very annoying and would love to be able to switch it off.

There is a mod which silences that sound.

    Off Discord, works too:
    ]Nickhawk:
Here is the mod for the silent objective sound https://drive.google.com/open?id=1L5zi68Q1bCkVUBGueN4nm7BYfeXUTJF5 just copy the .pak file to the DLC folder in your TSW, just like a repaint. It does not overwrite any files.

Thanks, I'm aware of it and have it installed and it works perfectly, however, I still think it should be an in-game option.

The objective sound should be an option in the settings, it's pretty annoying really.
Thank god i found a way to silence that sound with a mod :)

The link in this thread no longer works, and I can't find the mod anywhere else. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please? Thank you.

    Life saver aha!

Really a immersion breaker personally, when you have no HUD and just hear a random ‘ping’ as you pass a marker. Should be a option by default just like a FOV slider.

Yes please, in addition of the audio I also would like to remove the popup text in the middle of my screen.

I remember if you go to sound in settings there’s an option to turn that sound down/off on the menus, maybe it will work here as well

I see you started this thread over two years ago. The "Objective Complete" beep has never really bothered me...... until now.

But with Cathcart Circle (in TSW 2), the general audio is so low that you have to have master on maximum, and you then have to increase your device's sound output by about 150%, just for this route, in order to hear the train/effects/etc. This turns the "beep" into an extremely intrusive klaxon.

There doesn't appear to be any combination of audio options that will remove this "fog-horn" sound (I am not sure what "External Alert" does.... but it doesn't silence the objective complete "vuvuzela")....

So yes - I would now like an option to have this sound switched off entirely, or to have its own slider.

I think it would also be useful to have an audio option/slider for the windscreen wiper - ideally this would be given a sensible audio level in the mix, but with Cathcart (and Bakerloo before it), there seems to be an obsession with making the windscreen wiper the most dominant sound in the game (by a huge margin), making these two routes very very unpleasant to play in the rain.

I thought that these sorts of "objective complete sounds" and windscreen wipers were banned a long time ago by the Geneva Convention, and could not be used in military applications, let alone civil/leisure applications.... as they were classified as "instruments of torture".

Annoyingly, there’s no such button/option for the annoying sound, hopefully they incorporate one tho; hence this forum. :)

Totally agree, there needs to be a sorta ‘emersion profile setting’ which just removes the ‘arcade style’ bits/bobs and tones it down.

The objective complete sound is one of those little things that just ruins immersion.

To be honest, I quite like the sound. I find it a lot more useful as confirmation than any visual cues, especially in Train Simulator where the only confirmation was if the scenario creator had bothered to add a message after completing a task. It's great when you have the HUD off as well.

For me I prefer the sound off, just more immersive; especially as I drive with the HUD off most of the time. I rely on the door controls on the cab and just have a copy of the timetable to refer etc.
