    The suggestion thread says
I think, it‘s pretty safe to assume that it‘s a preview stream based on that. Unless plans have changed in that regard.

New natural scenery. I wonder what the weather options will be like. Such a sandstorm would not be bad. I will definitely watch the live broadcast.

Looks like we are getting the dino park near Moab as a scenery tile :D
A pretty cool idea imo, as it's actually there irl

Interesting that they made it a Mastery Award instead of keeping it there as default.

That's interesting, these usually appear REALLY close to release.

It's anyone guess when it will release, strange to see Mastery before release.

the platform light has the same light flare effect as the CSX one. I mean we already know they copied it but there's some more evidence.

Whats funny is that is the original AC4400CW we saw in the 1st article, it doesn't have the changes we saw in the latest article.

There are UP AC4400CW's with the front door window. The following picture of one you can find at the Wikipedia page about the AC4400.

Those are the original orders that UP had, once they went thru the paint shop, they had their doors replaced or modified. Here is 6670 that you posted after it had been repainted, with the window now removed from the nose door.

Obviously if we were getting the older livery, this wouldn't be a problem....

I think so too. Important is how the AC4400 looks in the game itself and not so much how it looks at the Mastery page. :)

Past experience is that if it is wrong in the screenshots, it will be wrong in the release.

So the Mastery challenges for Cane Creek have already popped up, and there's still no release date for it? When mastery pops up it usually means a route's release is coming up soon, maybe a release date will be announced tomorrow? For a release next week?

Possibly. I‘d have thought a release on 01.07. (in DD/MM to clarify for the Americans) or the week after that realistic. But the appereance of mastery would suggest a release sooner rather than later.

DTG posted this banner as a promotion for their store sale. The Cane Creek loco model of the AC4400CW at the top suggests that they’ve addressed the door window issue. I hope that this is the actual loco model in game instead of an artist rendering…

Dtg are liars when they used always wrong photos, and ingame the 3D is different like they did with the DB BR 112.

This is called promotional and marketing material. The 112 looks the same in game and on the Screenshots on the store page.
Or are you angry when buying a Mortadella that you don't get the bread and the herbs from the packaging artwork together with the Mortadella?

Its easy to throw tantrums and accusations around with the anonymity of the internet, especially if you have no clue about what you are talking, isn't it?

I haven't see anyone mention this yet: the loading station at Moab is totally wrong. IRL, lidded and shielded containers are used to contain the radioactive dirt. These containers then get loaded on wagons. The loading site in the DTG article show a loading tower that would just dump dirt into open wagons via a conveyor system. This is totally wrong. Nobody would ever handle radioactive material like that.

Container loading is not a feature of TSW (at least for 3rd parties) so I imagine they had no other choice but to use hopper cars and put a bulk loader there. It's disappointing but at least we can have those services.

While I'm not claiming the cars and system are accurate - they aren't - the mine tailings which the 'dirt train' carries are hardly "radioactive material." The primary reason EPA doesn't want them potentially contaminating the water table is because although only the tiniest trace amounts of uranium are present, uranium, like all heavy metals, accumulates in the body and can eventually reach toxic levels.

This is how actual radioactive material is transported:

Though I agree a train with open-top hoppers filled with this wouldn't kill you, the problem in such case rises because it's a lot of material and transported repeatedly. Same as medical roentgen examination is safe, doing it dozen times a day not so much (that's why doctor leaves). Transporting this "hardly radioactive material" this way once would be probably somewhat ok. This 20-year operation using open-top hoppers would be immediately closed for a hazardous work environment.

Well, if this delay is to correct issues found in the final checks, then so be it. Better a good route then a poor one as we have found out.

I'm not surprised given the moaning and groaning of members of this forum following previous preview streams using dev builds. Skyhook understandably don't want this happening to them.

New screenshots on the Steam page now show a correct version of the AC4400CW. No window on the front door and the UP Wing loco doesn’t look washed out anymore!

That is a pleasant surprise. The trucks are still missing a couple of details, but major errors seem fixed. Although SD40s there still have the overlapping road names, if this was fixed, I guess those will be too. Nicely done, Skyhook, keep it up and hopefully, we will hear good rumbling sounds tomorrow.

I have to say, I really like that Skyhook is watching the these forums and being proactive in taking feedback instead of rushing it all to release with the "not enough time" excuse. I still really, really hope they were able to do something about the AC4400 sounds but I'm super excited to see this on tomorrow's pre-release stream!

Pretty disappointing to watch a few minutes of the TS21 Tehachapi stream today and realize that the soundscape of the route is (while not perfect) infinitely better than anything offered in TSW.

Not sure if English is your first language, so you may not know that "liar" is a very strong and derogatory accusation, and is not used casually. Perhaps you meant "misleading"? Anyway, it was most likely an innocent mistake or a timing error. Why not wait until the preview stream to see the finished loco?

As pointed out earlier, CCB is on the Steam store page. But, as yet there is no opportunity to pre-order, and, of course, no pre release discount. All of this suggests that it isn't coming for at least a couple of weeks, no? Let's hope a release date is announced tomorrow. Eager would be an understatement, on my part. I'm anxious to see those desert vistas on my spanking new 4k display. :D

Posted elsewhere, but the trailer for the route is now out.

    Some notes:
-The rear numbering issue on the AC4400CW seems fixed now.
-We still don't have a visual on the new covered hopper car.
-Hoppers are marked with generic DTGX markings (This was pointed out to me on Discord last night)

Its amazing how much Skyhook has fixed over the past few weeks though, and I really appreciate the work they have put in to make the changes.
