When you enter map screen (keyboard shortcut "9") and then press ESC key, what you expect the next action? I expect quit this map screen, but actually pause the game. How about you?
I know it may sound illogical, but the 9 key is actually a camera view, so rather than cancelling, your next move should be to choose a different view. ESC is always pause and I wouldn't want to remove this key map just because I'm viewing the map
