Stretching across North and East London, the Gospel Oak to Barking Line – affectionately known as the ‘GOBLIN’ – has grown into a major part of the extensive London Overground network; a network which has specialised in re-vitalising neglected routes throughout the Capital, converting them into railways which are fit to serve a modern-day city. The locos: The British Rail Class 378 Capitalstar is an electric multiple-unit passenger train specifically designed for the London Overground network. It is part of Bombardier Transportation's Electrostar family. A total of 57 five-car trains have been built - most of which were orignally built as three- or four-car units The British Rail Class 172 is a British diesel multiple-unit passenger train built by Bombardier Transportation's Derby Litchurch Lane Works for use on inner-suburban passenger services In this case on this route the goblin line This routes length is 40 miles . Here are some pictures of the train simulator route
Maybe instead of before the class 710 why not during its introduction to service? More trains and more people are happy with the route
The 710’s are quite lovely, but I also like the 378s the 378s have a metro feel to it, maybe the class 710 as a loco dlc or something
Yet another major freight transport route that has been given zero freight interest! 1 in 10 of the trains on this route are freight...
Electrification systems on this route are 750v DC Third and Fourth Rail Top Contact to Acton Central where it's 25kv 50hz from that station all the way to Stratford International where this route can link to Southeast high speed London to faversham via Chatham home of DTG. This is actually a classic train simulator 21 route that must be in TSW2. The Western section of the line can be a role model for its American equivalent the Metro-North New Haven line which is actually part of another classic train simulator 21 route Northeast Corridor New York New Haven. On that route Amtrak is on Overhead Wires 11kv 25hz upgraded in the 1980s to 12.5kv 25hz-60hz.
Trains from Acton Central go to Stratford NOT Stratford International, so they would link to the Great Eastern Mainline up to Ipswich and Norwich. The International station has no connections
The DLR serves there as well but that's besides the point - their point is fine, with the classic route part
To be fair it's still 1/9 services for Overground. And (the suggestions speak a lot on this one) don't really bother with Freight information. Firstly it's much harder to get than passenger and also a lot of people don't care. I only just started doing it and I don't plan on continuing much longer. As for the main suggestion, great suggestion MrSouthernDriver, a great TS route which would be brilliant on TSW.
Realtimetrains.com will give you every movement on every british line, even the ones which are cancelled, infrequent etc Only the specials (such as steam tours) aren't listed in advance, but are there from a few days before. OK it doesn't necessarily tell you what loco is hauling what but you can find general idea from youtube on what freight is hauled over the UK lines And yet almost all the American lines in the game are freight in the main, and all the German lines in game have had freight... I don't think the UK desire for freight on TSW is any less than it is in TSC where there's loads going on.
Sorry, are you saying that trains CAN connect from the Goblin lines at Stratford to SEHS at Stratford International? I assure you they cannot
Quote: "their point is fine, with the classic route part" Driverwoods' post has 2 parts; the (false) part about Stratford and the (true) part about Train Simulator.
There isn't much going on on TSC, the majority is Passenger, as is on TSW, and the only route which is freight first is Tees Valley Line, really. As for the US, America is split in half as a community between passenger and freight. For some reason the passenger fans have been left out. As for Germany "all" is certainly not the right word, take a look at Köln - Aachen & Rapid Transit, for example. Back to the UK, most people in the UK don't really care that much about the freight, why else do you think the vast majority of suggestions ignore it and why do you think the vast majority of time that when freight appears, it's the second-class part of a route.
You're kidding right? I'm not talking about dedicated freight routes (mainly because they don't really exist in the UK) but there are loads of freight scenarios all over the place for TSC... Probably because it's less sexy... My issue with that is if you look at the number of vids on youtube about trains how many of those are about bog standard passenger runs? Except for the "trains at speed", not too many
No, I'm not kidding. The majority of the time freight is just thrown in as a timetable-filler/appeasement measure with Passenger Operations dominating the route.
Oh, agreed. Shouldn't be that way though, especially on routes which have lots of it. I'm hoping BML has the proper timetable rather than something made up
I personally prefer the passenger focus. After all, the majority what you see on the UK rail network is Passenger at the end of the day. And that's where the demand is. This suggestion forum shows it.
You mean the majority of scheduled trains are passenger I presume... Ah well. Looks like TSW is kind of pointless for many then as "speed up, slow down, stop, open the doors" repeated for an hour gets boring.
Thank you for telling me about this four sister game train simulator 21 you can merge this route with the Great Eastern main line. If GEML comes to TSW2 this route and GEML can be merged to form South London to Anglia bundle. Endpoints are Richmond and Ipswich.
