Well here we are, the stats for the first of the three Rush Hour routes have now entered the steamdb, and that is NEC: Boston-Providence. Pretty sure the other two routes will be added soon and hopefully we will find out soon when this whole thing is coming out. Steamdb: https://steamdb.info/app/1282590/history/?changeid=U:24309305
My expectations are we are going to get the release date somewhere between the last week of july and the first week of august.

If DTG hold to their first-week-of-each-even-numbered-month pattern for route DLC releases, than I would predict Rush Hour for August 5.
Seems logical to me. Sam mentioned August in a stream I believe (or at least implied it), and it will most definetely be a thursday. Exciting!
While you are correct from a scientific standpoint, you have to consider the mindset of the marketing person who wrote that ... most people wouldn't choose the word summer as the most descriptive way to hint at a September release. I think August is more likely.
I think they probably got an internal date that is when they would want to release, probably at the last week of august or first of september, but it can slide depending on if they are going faster or slower than they initially expect. Development almost never goes as planned
Although obviously DTG's Britons wouldn't think in these terms, in the USA social and commercial "summer" effectively is delineated by Memorial Day (last weekend in May) and Labor Day (first weekend in September).
TSW2020 released on August 15, and TSW2 was released on August 20 (originally planned for August 6). Based on this information, we might see Train Sim World 2: Rush Hour releasing on August 19, which is a Thursday and falls right in between the release dates of the two versions of TSW.
I don't necesarrily think they will just go for such a date because previous releases were on the same date, I think it's purely based on when they think the work will be done. If anything, it makes sense to me to releasr it before the 1 year anniversary so amy promotion of that wouldn't take away attention from Rush Hour.
Note however that the TSW2 release was supposed to be the first Thursday, the 6th, before it was delayed.
Because of our feedback . But as RH has been announced a lot earlier , feedback can be acted upon in time for release
I think the 6th is going to be really difficult since JD said that there will not be any Rush Hour stream this month (other than the Rushmaps).
Again JD said there won't be one, but guess everything is open to change if they get one of the routes ready to show sooner than expected.
At the very least I think we'll get a release date within the month. My bets are still on early/mid-august.
If we look at the TSW 2020 update as well as TSW2, I would imagine the release of Rush hour to fall in August as were these major yearly updates.
All the speculation about a release date gave me the impression that saying October would give people a giggle. It’s very likely that we will be given the release date soon enough.
