I noticed that one of the speed limits from 30 to 35 changes AFTER the post by about ~50yards. You see the sign, but the HUD still says ~50 yrds. Then it changes.

My problem is I can never remember to record where it happens! Sorry. I think it Pollokshields west if I was to guess.

The HUD won't display 35 until the back of the train passes the post.

The HUD counts down to a distance beyond the post. The HUD and the post dont match :)

The higher speed limit will only be in effect once the whole train passes the speed sign. Like it is in real life.

How odd. I can't try it for myself because I haven't bought it.

The HUD counts down beyond the post. I am fully aware it takes effect when the whole train passes, but normally the HUD still counts down to the post?

I think it normally Counts down until the front is at the post then waits until whole train passes before it actually switches to 35. The countdown is until the front reaches the speed post not after.

That’s how it normally works but this is a technical report about it not doing that at one particular speed sign. In this case the HUD is counting down to a different point after where the sign is placed, if the report is correct. It’s not about where the speed limit is applied to the train.

I haven’t noticed this while playing and I don’t know where to check but I’ll keep my eye out.

I’ve found this speed limit sign and it is between Cathcart Platform 1 and Mount Florida Platform 1 when heading towards Glasgow. It’s placed 60 yards before the speed limit takes effect. The sign is before the junction with the branch line and the limit change is after the junction. There you go dave from Cornwall an exact location for you.
