Many of us are coming up with ideas for some great routes. But for one reason or another many will never be made. How about a route creator/editor function. Give players a blank canvas and a load of stock assets like buildings, foliage options, tunnels, bridges, platforms and stations, and allow them to be placed as required. Think along the lines of a hybrid of Cities Skylines and Minecraft creative modes.
This was promised by DTG But the catch is, that was 3 Years ago, and we got nothing. Maybe with TSW3 in 2022 we will get this
Just saying Minecraft creative mode is nothing like what a TSW2 editor would/could be like. And Cities Skylines is using a pre-built system, which you just direct to do set things, this would be hand placing nearly everything.
Around the time the Class 465 was coming out, i asked about TSW Update being TSW3 (it later turned out to be rush hour) and then in another stream I asked if there would be TSW 3 and he said that there *might* be one. Also, its quite obvious that TSW 3/2023 will happen
Licensing of the Unreal editors. Perceived complexity especially for casual users. DTG retaining control over what gets made for the sim - the emergence of some decent freeware routes could seriously dent sales of their own DLC. There's probably others which have been flagged up too, but whatever the reason(s) it ain't happening.
