So I was wondering if you can add buffalo-Rochester NY CSX route this goes from: CSX frontier yard-Amtrak rochester station I am a local to the route and I can send you screenshots of the route from frontier yard-Batavia NY the rest you need a rail employee for. This will include both CSX and amtrak. Locos: GE ET44AC (CSX), P42DC and P32AC-DM (Amtrak), Amtrak trains will include: The lake shore limited, Empire services and maple leaf, (CSX you'll need timetable for) why it would be useful? It can bring us back a mixture of CSX and amtrak like the NEC NY did except there's long distance amtrak and long freight

This is a fantastic idea. Add a CSX Genset for locals and switching.

Good Idea and if you want to extend this into Canada try doing it as Buffalo, NY to Hamilton, ON where it can join Oakville subdivision. That way you can operate Amtrak Maple Leaf Rochester New York to Oakville, NY.

The Genset is not prototypical for this section of line.

    Appropriate locomotives would be the ET44AH (in YN3b), ES44AH (in YN3 and YN3b), ES40DC (YN3) and AC4400CW (YN2, YN3, and YN3b) for road trains; SD40-2 (YN3 and YN3b), SD40-3 (YN3b), GP38-2 (YN3 and YN3b), GP38-3 (YN3b), GP40-2 (YN3 and YN3b), and GP40-3 (YN3b) for yard operations.

If the Niagara Branch is included (Buffalo to Niagara Falls, about 25 mile long) CSX uses GP15-1s (YN3/YN3b), GP15Ts (YN3/YN3b), MP15DCs (YN3/YN3b), MP15ACs YN3/YN3b), and MP15Ts (YN3/YN3b) for yard and local operations out of Niagara Falls, in addition to the same yard power listed above. An average of 6-10 locos can be in the Niagara Falls yard at any given time last time I was there.

P32AC-DMs (Phase V and a special Phase III scheme) are used the Amtrak trains 280, 284 (Niagara Falls to NYC), 281, and 283 (NYC to Niagara Falls. P42DCs (Phase V) are used on trains 63 (NYC to Toronto and 64 (Toronto the NYC).

I do love this suggestion as I live along this line, but it is about 90 miles from Buffalo to Rochester by train, including reasonable endpoints for the route. An extension to Hamilton ON is about 25-30 miles from Buffalo to Niagara Falls, not sure how far from Niagara Falls to Hamilton.

This would be a much better route for Train Simulator, as it is too far for TSW2 at present time

Correct and if you did that. Oakville Subdivision gets a connection to the US Rail Network via Niagara Falls, NY. Furthermore you can go all the way to Boston Massachusetts the missing sections are built Albany Rochester via Syracuse and Utica
