So I think it will looking at the min spec but there are some very clever folks here who might know different, will TS2021 work on my shiny new laptop? Processor AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics 2.00/4.00 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Graphics On-board Radeon GPU I usually game on my PS4 with TSW2 but thought TS2021 would be a change here with all the extra routes/locos to play with. Thanks
Do you have any knowledge on the specifications of your hard drive? It's recommended that you have a decently sized SSD (at least 256GB) to load routes nicely. However, I'd recommend having something with a dedicated graphics card, to which I'm sure others could elaborate more on the specifics. I use a GTX 1650, and it works nicely for me.
Yeah it's got a 512gb SSD, We should be good to go! Just heard TSW2 is free on Epic store in a few days, I'll give that a go too
It (Train Simulator) won't look as pretty as it would with a beefier GPU but you work with what you've got- I think you will be able to run TS pretty well with some of the settings turned down or off. FYI I've used under spec' machines for TS before now. I think the most relevant here is an i5 laptop of undetermined vintage (I bought it second hand- it ran Windows 7) with a Radeon GPU. I was very happy with the way it acquitted itself after using machines with integrated graphics and I'd still be using it now if it hadn't died on me. No doubt your new system would be able to run rings around it. Recent detailed routes and DLC might test it but I'd expect everything to be at least playable. In the settings personally I had scenery density and distance view maxed out because I don't like gaps in the world or scenery popping into existence in the middle distance. After that I'd sneak one or other setting up a notch and see how it looked and performed. Have you already bought TS? Be aware that Steam keys for older editions are available from other sources. They usually cost much less than the current edition even during sales and may have a bundle of routes that interests you more. (In fact that's not unlikely IMHO- someone was kind enough to give me TS2021 and, while I've still enjoyed driving the routes, it's one of weaker editions.)

No. I'll refer you to my answer in the thread you started asking the same question for further details.
Unlikely, for reference the laptop I got that will likely run the game on low settings cost £899 just so you have an idea of the likely mobile hardware cost.
I know you were all on the edge of your seats waiting to hear news of if my laptop could run TSW2, Well I have news, it works I'll try TS2021 in due course.
Yes, After downloading the Epic version, I was surprised at how well TSW ran on my laptop compared with TS20xx, which struggles with newer TS routes. Although it’s got an i7 processor, it’s got rubbish integrated graphics.
I love it when people say that. Which one? My wife's machine has a i7 too... a i7-920 released in 2009. There have been 11 generations of i7, and a gazzillion versions
