    Hi,
With London Brighton staying above Riesa Dresden on the Roadmap does this mean that there is a possibility of London Brighton being released first and the German route being slightly delayed or does the Route order on the Roadmap not really matter.
    Mike.

I really don't think they're actually delaying Riesa - Dresden to add in the branches. I think the order is just an oversight.

I think it's just because L comes before R in the alphabet.

What you see in UPCOMING is the part that is going to release in a couple days in the Epic Store (the UE 4.26 version of TSW2).
Everything else is still IN PRODUCTION.

The next gen release will come at the same time as the PC Steam version and the new Rush Hour routes will still come at the same time as the PC Steam as usual. This time, the (new) PC Epic Store version of TSW2 will release using the UE 4.26 version of the engine and some of the new features just because there never was a UE 4.23 version of it, but it is not something that will ever happen again in the foreseeable future.

Again, the next gen consoles will get the new RH routes at the same time as everyone else.

Just a few questions for the stream:
    - Will there be anybody sitting around in the yards/depots? That would also be quite nice for freight routes such as the Sand Patch Grade, at the mines and the Cumberland turntable.
    - Will trains finally be fully empty after they terminate?
    - What stations can we expect to find the "diorama" passengers?

    - About the most recent route release, is Skyhook working on a patch for Cane Creek?

But has DTG explicitly confirmed that, or are you just assuming that it will be that way?

Lets put it this way. When they spoke about the new UE 4.26 version of TSW2 releasing sooner in the Epic Store they said all other platforms would receive that update later when Rush Hour releases. They did NOT say "and the new consoles will have to wait a bit longer".

You cited half of what Matt said. He also said we know this is an important issue and they talked to Sony and are still working to see if it can be solved. As it is not yet proven to be solved, do not expect to get it.

I think this answer is reasonable and careful.

Not correct, you can get it and download it, but you will need a gaming PC to play it.

They did and said they are talking to Sony about a couple of options they need to work through. To set expectation tho Matt said to assume that right now it will be a complete restart with new save

I’d like if they added the Class 800 instead if possible. Just to use it on GWE aswell tbh

Well, no-one picked up my question about North American content. Not surprising, really, since I myself can't think of a viable response.

There probably isn't a fancy answer to that, I would assume. At most it's likely a bit more difficult to produce accurate American content. And I'm sure that most people wouldn't be happy with the same bad sounds over and over again (every single American add-on after the release of TSW2 uses that darn Sand Patch K5LA)

I just hope that Clinchfield doesn't get abandoned for a Locomotive DLC, the route is open to multiple locomotives that would help expand the services of the route and the variety of rolling stock for the manifest trains on the route.

Also, still wondering what happened to the new horn we were promised for the CRR SD40.....

I've never bought that argument. DTG recently (June) released an SP U Boat and the Tehachapi route for TS 2021. I realize that TSW2 is a different product, but the research is all the same. There is a long pipeline of American content stretching back more than a decade with regular loco and route releases.
Sorry to say this, but we on this side of the pond are being seriously short changed with TSW2.

The U-Boat pack was by Digital Train Model, a 3rd Party developer. And Tehachapi was mainly made by contracted route builders, and the AC4400CW that came with that route was built by Reppo, another 3rd Party Dev.

In fact, Reppo has been part of alot of North American DTG locomotives that were built for TS in recent years (U36C, SD90/43MAC, GP60)

Fine, I'm aware of all that. You can argue the situation all you want, BlacknRed81, but take a look at the most recent Roadmap and find me any mention of North American content in the foreseeable future.

I do not get this argument. DTG are supposed to be a British company and they do routes for the UK/Eur/US and each one of them can say they have been 'short changed' in various routes. Branches being cut in Dresden or half a route in GWE with no RD support ETC.

Obviously you want more US, I would like more UK and the Europeans would want more Euro routes. Can't say I'm totally happy with DTG but they do a range of routes to cater to a wide range of people. Or are you comparing DTG to some other company? If DTG released a Route editor then we could all be catered for but they won't do that. So for a game that doesn't offer an editor you have to compare like for like.

To be fair, they probably have quite a bit of NA content coming up. Perhaps they're waiting until after Rush Hour? They said themselves that the team's focused on that.

If we're looking at full-fledged routes... (Based on what's been released for, since and is upcoming for TSW 2)
    UK- 6
    Germany- 4
    US- 3

And if we're looking at locos... (Based on ditto)
UK- 4 (though the 1938 stock is pretty much the same thing as on IOW and the Diesel Legends pack...locos we've gotten before, just repainted so it should really be 2 for absolutely new stuff)
    Germany- 6
    US- 1

Looking at this and changing the 4 locos for the UK to 2...
UK- 8 (but if you want to be super anal, it's 10)
    Germany- 10
    US- 4

Assuming they want to make the US even with the other two, they'd have to put out 6 DLCs in total before we get to TSW 3. Can you think of 6 things they'd put on the roadmap? I can only think of one, maybe two.

Well, considering that the Cornwall route by Rivet Games is going to be set in the 90s, it won't happen. The class 800 IETs weren't even thought of back then.

I'm not sure where you're getting those US numbers from. By my count there are 6 North American routes released or pending: Sand Patch, LIRR, Peninsula Corr., Oakville Sub, Clinchfield, Cane Creek and NEC Boston.

The US however is getting shortchanged in loco DLCs: just 3

These are post-TSW 2 release. So Clinchfield, Cane Creek and NEC. Specifically for TSW 2. If we were to add the preserved routes, the total would be 6, thus far for US routes.
    Well, let's rephrase it.
What makes you think there won't be much more NA content? It's not as if the US market has dried up. And the non-US market also purchases NA content.

Europe is not Europe but a bunch of independent countries, each with their own culture and habits. For most European countries there is no route at all, so you are still lucky. And yes it is biased by modern Germany and a bit older UK routes in general, probably because there is a big market. For TS DTG completely missed the Dutch market. All Dutch TS routes are community projects, with one commercial developer supporting this. For TSW we cannot do that unfortunately and you see it in the attention TSW2 gets from Dutch train fans. It is much lower than it could be. I do not care so much about a specific country and I am happy to play North American routes as well, but more diversity in countries and era would be nice. I am always surprised by people that want to play what they know well and then complain it is not 100% accurate.

DTG has acknowledged a lack of US routes, but with lockdown etc, it’s extremely difficult to do US routes justice at the moment.

I’m hoping for the 7 on NYC.

I don't think DTG will leave CRR without one. Just judging by the forums, CRR was easily one of the best-received routes for TSW2. It just makes economic sense to try to capitalize on that. And as you said, DTG aren't short on candidates for a possible loco DLC - neither in real life nor in what they've already got research on.

As I said before, I don't really accept that. Skyhook managed it and TS has been releasing US routes fairly regularly.
If DTG would spell out specifically what has been particularly difficult about NA route and loco development, compared with, say, Germany, I might listen.
And when was development of Boston Sprinter worked on?

If you read the first Boston Providence article it has taken 5 years. It was an individual guy who left the company and worked on it while he was overseas in his spare time for majority of the route.
