Let's guess the release date of Rush Hour boston to providence Everyone thinks that the day I am very excited to play it. Hopefully we can get a release date.
Because that’s the date lots of people, including you, have been guessing Rush Hour would release for ages. It’s a guess, they are all guesses.
But now that we know that each route would release at different dates , it is unlikely that the 1st route wouldn’t be ready til the 19th
The staggered release is because they need more time for the routes so it’s unlikely anything will be finished early and more importantly the core update may have to release on the intended date, so therefore the first route will come out when the whole Rush Hour bundle was originally intended to release. It’s not going to be early. Some of the core updates are ready of course for the Epic release but I very much doubt all the other full game updates will be brought forward because one route is finished. It’s a huge release for existing players on multiple platforms and that date can’t easily be shifted forward.
Of course, we have a new problem since the last announcement. Even if the release date for Boston Sprinter is announced today, the guessing game will simply move on to the next release and then the next. It's all a bit tedious. I think I'll start using the ignore button. Key word: guess.
The staggered releases are because the routes need more time. And more generally, i.e. aimed at everyone here, these threads are really pointless. It will release when it will release. I bet those who are saying it'll be very soon would be the first to complain about it being rushed-looking if it does release soon. The later it releases, normally is the better.
That makes logical sense and should be the case but it certainly hasn’t been with DTG. The Rapid Transit & LIRR fixes were held back for testing and more testing and yet more testing but still released as a buggy mess. Southeastern High Speed was delayed from 2020 to early 2021 but rightly criticised for its poor quality and the whole route felt rushed. At this stage, until they prove otherwise, I have zero confidence that more time = better quality where DTG are concerned. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two delayed Rush Hour routes have issues on release despite being allocated more time.
Considering DTG traditionally only release on Thursdays I’m pretty confident it’s either 12th or 19th August. I’d be amazed if it were any earlier or later.
I would guess August 19th. Keep in mid all DLC must be upgraded to Unreal 4.26 before release. But it is clear, the core upgrade is quite far done now.
Boston - 5th August 2021 Just because I can: Riesa - 19th August 2021 London - 2nd September 2021 ...and in the voice of Daniel Day-Lewis, "There will be bugs"!
It's possible but that leaves them very little time to get the two remaining routes out before the end of summer on 22nd September which according to the article is still their intention.
My guesses: Boston- August 5th- wanna get those Epic freebies buying content ASAP, not to mention it's probably the route that was easiest to complete for various reasons that have been discussed and is probably pretty much done at this point. Dresden- August 26th London- September 16th Leaves 3 weeks between releases and fits within the Summer window.
I’m going to guess it’ll be 12 August, which means it’ll likely be the Thursday before or any Thursday after. I can’t see it being released before 5 August as this is the day the free trial of the 4.26 core (upgrade) release ends on the Epic store. I think we might get the core update and next generation versions on 5 August (as the core is clearly ready), followed by the new route on 12 August. That will limit the amount needing to be downloaded when the new route comes out. Just my thoughts and more than likely completely wrong.
I'm not sure about that. NEC is the only one with new rolling stock. And while it's true that train builders are not the same devs as the route builders, so they would have been working pari passu, there is also the issue of NEC requiring a new safety system and in-cab signaling to be implemented, which isn't the case with the others.
My totally baseless speculation: Boston-Providence will move to Upcoming on tomorrow's roadmap (July 27th), then to Next Arrival on the August 10th roadmap. The preview stream will occur on August 12th, to much criticism and nitpicking, and it will release on the 19th with exactly none of those concerns fixed or changed.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO EXITED, I love the way snow clads on the train!! Lets hope Boston actually looks lit up at night. Especially the skyscrapers!!
August 19th is no surprise to me as that was the date I previously predicted it, as all past releases have been on the third Thursday. Looking forward to seeing its release. German Route 9th September? Brighton Route 30th September? DTG said it will be a summer release and September 30th is the last day of Summer.
