Familiar Familiar sights to long-time TS vets and firm evidence of why DTG kept us stuck in our cabs while going through tunnels for so long. This also appears with the #3 camera, but the #2 is okay, as is the heads-out view. Sometimes what one clamors for proves to be undesirable after all.
You get to see fun stuff on all routes using TrackIR. You can stick your head right through a tunnel wall into the netherlands .
Oh, the days of 'slam' doors and sliding windows. Imagine the 'Clean up on isle 2 - Track 2' with todays Darwinians? ....well, after seeing the Covid 'Sheeple', maybe it's needed. Sorry, slightly de-railing the topic.
I think Adam said something about an audio fix and hinted at more. I'd have to replay the stream to be sure.
And the Spanish Inquisition. No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition . Crosstie where is your sense of adventure? conniethunder lololololol, yes plenty of sheeple around and those that "research" far too much of the wrong things ShodanCat see what comes this Tuesday (Wednesday for me). While it will need refactoring for 4.26 (i.e. wait for an update) I can strongly recommend https://mods.trainsimcommunity.com/...1231-cane-creek-subdivision-general-patch-v13 if you're on PC. It solves lots of silliness. Paul
While we're at it, has there been any word that they're planning to do anything about Union Pacific's hostile takeover of Sand Patch Grade, where most CSX locos have been replaced with their UP variants?
I've seen a few UP locos around the place and one of the AI intermodals seems to always be UP but not much apart from that, are you seeing lots of them? Paul
I just created a scenario for the full route with SD-40's and ended up with UP and CSX. Strange. Wouldn't this make it a licensing issue for DTG?
Couldn't imagine it would be a licensing issue conniethunder in reality everyone's locos end up everywhere. I was watching a railfan video from Canada that had Ferromex locomotives in with the Canadian ones.
Living next to CP's mainline and I see mixed with the CP locos, UP, CSX, BNSF, NFS and the rare Ferrommex.
Surprising you get used to it right away, what makes it better is years ago we asked CP to not blow the horn at our crossings. When I get a chance during the day sometimes I will go up and watch them pass.
Reducing their horniess would be excellent. In 2001 we did a cross country road trip from where we lived in Oakland, CA through to West Virginia and back again over about 40 days including stopping with friends in Indiana and visiting the TriState Stationary Engine Show in Portland Indiana. We did the run home quickly and one night being super tired we decided we needed a good nights sleep in a proper bed instead of the RV so stayed at a hotel in the middle of nowhere. We went to bed early to be woken about every 40 minutes or so by horns being blown at one crossing before the hotel and another one after it. The final straw was about 4am when four locomotives on the head of a train long enough I could not see the rear end of it which came and set next to our room and idled until 6am when it finally spooled up and left honking its way out of town. It has had an update hyperlink#9624 resolving most issues. There are also a bunch of mods on TrainSimCommunity if you're on PC that resolve the last ones. Paul
