Lots of people asking for West Somerset Railway for the XSX stream i'll be doing - can I ask if there's something particular you want to see on it? Have to admit - it's not a route I was expecting to see on the must-see list but happy to drive it! Let me know what you want to see so I can show you something interesting and useful!
I second the request for a Class 101 showcase. It has also been a while since the Class 33 has been taken for a spin, methinks. It might be worthwhile to showcase the Class 31 substitutions as well, just to prove that they have, in fact, been reinstated. Cheers
Would be good to get a look around some stations and look at the signage. WSR has quite low textures on Xbox One. Maybe get a few side by side shots. Seeing the new features too like the level crossing in action.
Can you show the Class 33 also and how it want worked for other Railway tours or if it possible to use on Great Western Legends
If you are to show WSR, I’d appreciate you showing the turntable. Despite me parking the locomotive centrally and applying all brakes, the train seems to judder on the turntable and then derail. Granted it doesn’t do this all the time, but it has happened frequently enough for me to dread the scenario where you have to use the turntable.
Wasn’t HMA higher on the poll with around double the votes? WSR looks good don’t get me wrong but I was hoping to see how the next gen consoles handle a more demanding route.
I would also like to see some turntable use. Plus some run arounds. In General though I just like watching the route.
I wasn't expecting to see it either considering that Munich-Augsburg got twice as many votes in the poll you posted!
I also voted for WSR. I think it was to see something different such as the 101 but also to showcase the yards/sidings with the additional traffic that has been placed there
As has been highlighted - I am planning to show at least the top two, so Munich is a given and there's no question there at all I'm assuming you just want to see an all-dlc all singing all dancing, all the layers, all the trains, run from one end of the route to the other. Not a problem. West Somerset Railway - sounds like a run end to end with the Class 101 looking at things along the way, plenty of DLC in and hopefully lots of diesel's in attendance to enjoy as we go. Third place, if we get time (I fancy a longer stream, I want to chill and play the game a bit for a change ) would be Peninsula Corridor and perhaps an all-dlc run from South to North. Not sure if that will fit - WSR will take a while to run and this is pretty long too, but let's see how it goes. I wanted to give you all a good sight of the next-gen console version running your existing content in a stream showing you what to look forward to, its too easy to just focus on the new shiny stuff and not remember that there's so much great content from the back catalogue to enjoy too IMHO Matt.
Sounds like fun. You’ve not sat back and just chilled with the game for a little while. I like you doing this. You get to learn quite a bit too, which is always a nice bonus.
Oh that's not good but it is an old route I suppose. Preservation crew could've upgraded the textures if they still have the original assets. TSW has been optimised a lot since then.
I'll be watching tonight, TrainSim-Matt . However, if you want a relaxing gameplay to clear your mind of the stress of the last couple of weeks, I suggest turning off the chat
Potentially looking at switching tonights stream over to PS5 instead of Series X just for the variety, just a heads up. No change to content etc. Nah i'll keep chat on, but i'll be taking it fairly lightly
Can you please do a run in the 146 on HMA. I think many people are interested how that loco has improved with the update (mainly PIS and sound).
Adam said the sounds had been reworked but I don’t know if they’ll be in the version Matt will be playing tonight.
