Nice article! I hope that the performance of this route on last-gen will be better than Boston Sprinter. But I am really looking forward to this route!

Let's hope they've made this route extra detailed and good looking Since they've had less work to do on the route.

Nice that you took the time to change the DoStos to the correct ones (this time)! ;)

Although I'm still a bit disappointed that the branch lines have been cut I have found a major selling argument (feel free to use): this is probably the first german route with full realistic traffic and timetable. No ICE / IC services missing or other major missings. You can drive everything from switching to (quite) high speed in one route.

And yes, of course it's the wrong ICE type and so on but if we would wait for the correct one and the missing other locomotives as well we would be waiting forever...

    Looks good so far.

One thing I want to ask is, these 3 rush hour routes have upgrades that we have been asking for, for a while now, Boston having better looking winters, now this route is getting better lighting at night, are we going to get these improvements on all DLC’s going forward?

Sounds great so far. Looking forward to this one!

Now that the PS4 fix is out, will the Riesa-Dresden preview stream replace the let’s play one tonight? Pretty please? ;)

Knowing that I will be able to drive and ride as a passenger on my favourite TSW train, the BR 101, and shunting with my beloved BR 363, I am already happy.
    And this surprise???
"New to the route comes reflective signage and atmospheric lighting that bring the night to life!"

    Yaaay, ONE-line containers

Very much looking forward to this one. For me this is the main route of the Rush Hour package.
Seems like it will be a busy line with lots of layers. Will old gen consoles get everything?

Also looking forward to the new German signals, HL signals was it?

Anyone else though nervous about the update that'll come through for this route? Haha.

Looks pretty good, I like the new Dostos livery, and the other trains look as good as they usually are. But I must point out that I'm a bit annoyed by the lack of line numbers on the destination boards. That shot of the Talent 2 at Dresden really shouldn't be saying "Riesa", I'm pretty sure it should be saying "RE50 Leipzig Hbf". Interestingly enough, it looks like the BR 146 has line numbers, although it doesn't display the the destination, so I'll assume it's still a work in progress. Just a little complaint, but I do like to see some accuracy every now and then. Other than that, I'm quite interested in this route!

I'm very much looking forward to this route, the amount of traffic on Boston surprised me so I'm going to be interested on how this will turn out! While many say this route has the same re-used rolling stock, to me this is a positive thanks to a lot of variation available - for me it's exciting to wonder what train will pass next, a 146, 425 or 185! :D

Ah, I was quietly hoping that this time they would pay closer attention to OHLE, but I see it's still the same generic one we got on all german routes so far. Pitty.
    Still interested though.

This should just drop as a regular DLC, maybe with the usual small support update a couple of days before.

The pictures are somehow.... meaningless? Some of them could also be from any other German line. Pictures with details specific to the line would have been better.
Especially since the information in the article was almost all already known.

Atmospheric lighting, reflective signage, Images containing the Dostos in their new livery, ONE containers, PIS on the 143, updated PIS on the 442, images of Dresden Station. Every image in the article shows something new, not so meaningless IMO.

Very existed over the "atmospheric night lightning"!! This could be a major development success. And what does the "reflective signage" mean?

On the pictures you can see just about nothing of the track, except a little bit of station from the inside. :)
They want to sell the line after all. The locomotives are not new, only in detail a bit.

The S1 and S2 do not stop in the lower part of the Dresden Main Station. They have elevated Platforms for themselves. I hope you noticed that when you built this route and To be honest, I haven't seen a BR146 as a RE50 for ages.

Should mean when you shine your headlights on a speedsign for example it "lights" up like the reflectors on a safety jacket

it should be where the train lights (or any light source really) hit the sign, it should then reflect.

We have all that info from 4 images, plus 2 streams showcasing the route next week, they’ll be showing off the route plenty, just because you don’t get to see it all in one article, it doesn’t make it meaningless.

Not nervous at all DTG will make sure that everything is correct this time, as they really do not want a repeat of last week.

“New to the route comes reflective signage and atmospheric lighting that bring the night to life!”

I really hope DTG aren’t overhyping this as TSW’s night lighting has been nothing short of poor since day one. Expectations are going to be high. Let’s hope it’ll live up to its statement.

Given that a lot of the DTG staff would have worked over the last weekend to solve the various release issues, I am glad they are getting a break and not streaming tonight.

But don't forget - the timetable/route is probably not set in 2021, but rather new-ish 2018-2020, I guess. I'm not from the Dresden area, so I know nothing about that. But maybe a few years ago, the 146 was more often in service on line RE50 and that's when the route is set in. I mean we also get IC-Services, but today as far as I can tell all IC-Serives are IC2 trains and not the good old BR 101. So the route can't be today-ish.

I mean, they built up hype around the winter setting of Boston-Sprinter and in my opinion they lived up to it. So fingers crossed it's working this time as well. I think Sam is a very cautious person concerning building up hype. If he's good with that statement in that article, I'm good with that as well.

I really had to think about when I last saw a 146 on the RE50. It must have been years and I googled it, Talent2 has been used since 2011

Ok, WOW! The Dostos look amazing, and I am Really hyped for the reflective signs!
Aaaaand don´t forget that the theme of this route is Not the night, Matt told us that it´s autumn! So two new things here.
Apart from that, I have two questions:
    1. Will the Br146.2 get new sounds?
    2. Are we going to have layers for the Br185.2, Br182 MRCE and Br112, or even the ICE from Munich-Augsburg?
    Cheers!

I’d expect the loco substitutions will be there, as for the ICE I believe they cannot do that due to a limitation that would cause them to layer over each other on the other routes too, maybe Matt could confirm that is still the case.

Discord is now blowing up as its been mentioned that Dresden will not include the very close tram line at all. It appears this has not impressed the German route fans!

The automated PIS used in the last couple of german routes is really becoming a weird annoyance. You basically only have a destination on them lacking line number and it usually only uses destination on the route. Only HMA truly went with "beyond destinations". No trains riding the day go just to Riesa, it's all REs to Leipzig.
