Wow they look great so far, thank you for sharing this with us. This is why we need a 3rd party section to this forum!
Looks amazing. It's great to see new 3rd-party developers are coming and working on DLC content for TSW 2. This opens the door for more 3rd-party developers to begin making new content from all around the world in TSW 2. This also means your favorite route/trains might be made with more developer teams working and joining the DLC train for TSW 2!
Yeah, although TSG has been working on TSW for a while now. I've heard that they contribute a lot with all of the German Routes/Rolling Stock. But you're right, it is nice to see more Third-Party Devs coming over to work on TSW. I hope this means that they can bring over a lot of their TSxx content, and work on more things that the community has really been asking for.
RRO was my most driven route in TSW2020- having a new loco and my first German shunter will certainly be a great way to bring this route to life in TSW2. Can't wait!
Good news for you then! There is also the BR187 TRAXX 3 loco from Skyhook Games which is currently in production and is assigned to RRO! On the other hand, we don't have any information on this loco yet so it will be a longer wait before it comes out
We have one. There is the TRAXX 1 as the BR 145, BR 146.0 or BR 185.0. Next, there is the TRAXX 2 as the DB BR 146.2 or DB BR 185.2. The BR 146.5/185.5 is also a TRAXX 2. This loco we have in Train Sim World. The last is the TRAXX 3 as the BR 147 or BR 187, which we get from SHG. The difference from TRAXX 1 to TRAXX 2 is for people outside Germany very little, but the difference to the TRAXX 3 is big.
The 146 and 185 in each generation are not the same loco. There are significant mechanical differences, including the drive system. One might as well claim the 110, 140 and 150 were the "same" engine And the 185.5 is subtly different from the 185.2
Sadly, Dovetail have said these are unlikely tto be released in the next 12 months (as of may roadmap). So, expect this to be the Highlight of the 2022 TSW release
Why do you constantly go on about Summer 2022 when we ain't got 2021 (R:H & Core Update). You act like what you say goes. Also TSG have said 2/3 will (hopefully) be this year. So they won't be outwith the twelve months https://forums.dovetailgames.com/posts/327854/
Yeah, it is already the plan to get two of those things (the G6 and the BR420) out this year. No idea when exactly. Lately my 3rd party contact at DTG wanted to tell me that all will getting delayed because of...DTG problems (i have no real idea why tbh). I will already target the late August to get the G6 out. I'm havely working on it right now.
Interesting and for the DB BR232 fleet some will have The Dutch ATB EG NG system perfectly suited for Venlo Bad Bentheim and the pre 2016 Zenvaar Emmerich section of the Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway. Speaking of G6 will it have the special couplers found on DB BR363 or not?
Ohh, its because in one of the roadmaps a few months back, it said that the TSG products were unlikely to be released in the next 12 months
A lot of conflicting information around. Sam said that his information stems from DTG's internal 3rd party team. That would imply any delays being on TSG's side. Maik Goltz has been told that that content will be delayed due to issues on DTG's side. That would imply any delays being on DTG's side. So what is it? I think Sam or someone from the community team should really sit down with DTG's internal 3rd party team and get to the bottom of this. This constant back and forth with conflicting information between DTG and TSG can't go on forever. Furthermore, the fact that this issue exists in the first place clearly indicates a distinct lack of communication somewhere within DTG's many teams. Such a lack of communication is never good for anyone involved.
Tbh, this is nothing new to me. This is the case since i am doing this (10 years now). Sam can't know exactly what's going on with my work. He may have asked any person who may think knowing what is happening, but they don't really know it. Not even my contact for 3rd party work seems to know what's going on, and so i neither. And i don't care about that. I will go further with the work. If DTG is not releasing the DLCs then, pfff, i find my ways to get that stuff out, around the obstacles
That‘s probably the best attitude to this situation Here‘s hoping that it all works out for you without a hitch. The work you and your team have already done in TSW is incredible as it is. I‘m very much looking forward to seeing your own, original content come to fruition
Interesting update. Just be wary you don’t say anything that can jeopardise your relationship with DTG. If the forum isn’t allowed an answer (for whatever reason) don’t feel the need to compromise yourself.
As long as it concerns only my 3rd party work, i can tell what i want. If not, TSW is maybe not the right place to work on. And just for having a proof that the loco exists: (texturing is not ready (no physical material informations for the exterior yet, only plain base colour textures)) (Driving characteristic is ready so far, brakes kinda, needs now the other gimmick stuff to get working and sound)
Amazing work Really looking forward to these DLCs. I hope they come out when they are ready, and you are the only person who knows when this is going to be, so whatever DTG says can be ignored I guess But then, although it was said that the testing bottlenecks are resolved, it absolutely does not look like that's the case, so the "release" process might delay the DLCs until next year, which would be a real shame I hope that will not happen, keep the excellent work up Maik!
Adam has said on the last Rush Hour roadmap stream that the updates will be released when TSW2 is updated to run Unreal 4.26/Rush Hour releases (most likely in August in my opinion) Steven I have owned Train Sim World since it launched first time on console and now own Train Sim World 2. I have only just joined the forums this year.
Rush Hour comes in August likely, so it’s the Plan also for the Vossloh G6 as Maik Said before and November The 420.
I don't normally buy German add-ons but this has got me interested, Rhein-Ruhr Osten is currently on sale as well. I think you'll be making an extra sale
Great work as always. What bothers me just a little is the "clean" look. I find it nicer when shunting locomotives look "used" and not like fresh from the factory. Both inside and outside.
A G6 is not utterly dirty nor do they look massively used usally. So don't expect a muddy loco. There will be some dirt on it, but not much.
Maik makes me feel as excited as when I was a little boy to be able to play with what he does when I see the high quality of his work and the passion he puts into it. I can only imagine that one day we could have and enjoy a German route made by TSG in TSW. Dreaming is free!
I have a question for TSG. Is there communication between your team and the modeled locomotive manufacturer?
I am so happy to see the progress on your work, I'm sure it will be an exceptional model, just a question, do you plan on switching the "home route" of this loco to Riesa-Dresden? It will have a BR363 layer anyway and I think your G6 could substitute it without looking too wrong, and (looks like) you should be able to include the scenarios and additional timetable to RRO anyway. Definitely don't want to tell you how to do your work but at first glance it seems that would make the model accessible to a larger pool of people. Maybe it's too early to decide, just a random thought. Thanks for all your work in TSW2
Another facebook pic Looking very nice, I am definetely looking forward to this! I think RRO is a great choice for it and I'm curious how much of that amazing detail the TSG team put in their work will be included in their first own TSW2 release
Another one, this time from the interior: https://www.facebook.com/1928764514003511/posts/2923655654514387/
Much to look forward to with RRO being also one of the next german routes that will be polished by the preservation crew!
