Has anyone got a fix for this on PS5? I've tried downloading clinchfield railroad (which I already own), but it won't let me use it . The game gives me an error, you have outstanding updates etc, but no updates are showing on my console I see threads from a few weeks ago but they haven't got a solution that I can see of
That's odd. Sorry, I can't help specifically, as I don't own Clinchfield, but I've not seen that "outstanding updates" notice at all since I switched from PS4. Are you definitely running the PS5 version of the software?
Well the save data shows in PS4 (I did copy some of my save data over from PS4 via USB) But I downloaded it on ps5 from the store so surely it would be the PS5 version - how can I be sure ?
You'll need to press options on the game tile on the home screen and then scroll down to game version. This will show if you are using the PS5 game or the PS4 game so you can swap between them. The PS5 version doesn't automatically download so you have to go into the PS store and find the PS5 version. For some reason, it defaults to the PS4 version unless you have changed it over. Also, tomorrow there's a software update for the PS5. This will show PS4 and PS5 versions of games separately on the home screen for the PS5.
well this is excellent news. Can’t wait to see what else will be improved in the OS. back to the OP, following the excellent advice above, this will confirm you have both versions of the game installed. odd you are getting an error for cane, I have all DLC and both 4 and 5 versions of the game load just fine. you might need to force an update? Same …/option and then check for update on both versions. 1.45 latest for PS4 1.005.000 for PS5 you can find out the current install version by …/options and then down to information.
Thankyou for your help, I was selected on PS4 version. I have now proceeded to download the PS5 one and it has also given me the option to install clinchfield
