In this service you uncouple from a set of aggregate hoppers then have to drive forward to a red signal and stop. The objective then changes to "go via South Sanfrancisco" but the signal never changes from red. Attempting to contact the signaller "denied - no route available". Looks like there is no way to complete this.

I have completed all freight services on this route but can't remember how this specific service was. Maybe you can check:

    1. Are you on the right track?
    2. Are you facing the correct direction?
    3. Are the switches set correctly?
    4. Are there any passenger trains coming?

    1. Yes - you go to a specific point with a stop point marker
    2. Yes - definitely
    3. No, because I cannot set them - they're controlled by the game
    4. No nothing moving on the map for a very long distance in either direction - I left it for half an hour while I had dinner too - still red

Thanks for trying to help :)

Just got my SFJ installed again and I didn't have any problem. After you go foward to the stop point, you have to set the switches behind you manually and back up. Then the signal behind you will change automatically after the "Go Via Location" task.

I hope I'm not hijacking OP's topic, but I think I may have run in to a similar problem.

I got a little further by backing up at the point where they're stopped under the bridge, but now the game wants me to jog across the entire line with the same train of hoppers that you drop off at the beginning. I don't see any way to influence the automatic switches to switch for me. Am I missing something?

Edit: I'm sorry, I was just supposed to wait for a passenger service. Must've been about 5 minutes or so. Wish the game could've mentioned that! :)
