Although this suggestion will likely flare up the old 'Won't Happen' debate, I would like to suggest, providing that the wires can be made functional, the Heathrow Connect services between Paddington and Hayes and Harlington on GWE. The service was, at least for a while, provided by First Group with some trains stopping at bay Platform 5 and through trains to Heathrow calling at Platform 3 at Hayes. The trains in use at the time were the Class 360/2 Desiro (5 car?). Class 360/2 Heathrow Connect unit at Ealing Broadway en route to Heathrow.
If an add on was to be released featuring a different TOC I can see it being this With as you said the 360s they were 5 cars It's not as good as Heathrow express with the 332s But its something This and a 180/165 add on would be nice
These 3 are at the top of my GWE list for dlc. The Heathrow Express Class 332s were under the tight control of Ferovial (Heathrow owners) and will likely never be seen in tsw2 for licensing and security reasons. The Class 360/2 would make a great substitute/alternative.
Heathrow connect was run by the airport - for legal reasons trains became FGW Link/FGW services at Hayes as they replaced the FGW Link stoppers, but crew and branding were all Heathrow
The wires are already active. If you install the FGW unlocker mod and have Cathcart, the 314 will be able to run from London Paddington to Hayes and Harlington with no issues on TIMETABLE MODE. It will run further as AI all the way to reading
Firstly I cannot install mods as I am on ps4. Secondly, does the 314 run correctly with pantograph up?
While you cannot run the mod, I believe it runs exactly like it does on cathcart, though for some reason without the destinations
Because the 314 Blinds have - similar to a Manual Destination Display, set destinations. They don't just take the data from the route.
Since its been a a few years since Heathrow Connect services were replaced I don't think first group would mind giving a licence
