Sharp eyes! That'll mean (I would guess) railtours included for those with NTP and that the 313 release isn't so far away now either.

EDIT - could that be the 09 from WSR on second thought? I've tried to zoom all the way in and it looks a little like the BR symbol on the side and the red linkages (as well as the hatched yellow front). Could it be that we're finally getting WSR locos outside of their home route? Or am I massively guessing based on about 3 pixels? Only time will tell!

Here's a nice close up shot of what appears to be a 313 & the 09 from West Somerset Railway in that final image.
    313 & 08.PNG
I would imagine the 313 would add AI East/West Coastway services, not so sure about what the 09 is doing here, but I guess we will see soon.

EDIT: Just realised that there is a second one just off to the left.

I’d be very surprised if this route isn’t previewed next week , the route looks great

Has anyone got one of those 'zoom - enhance' machines from Blade Runner lying around?

313 as AI on WCW... hopefully means we will be able to use it soon on ECW

There's a second one hiding behind the pillars on platform 6 as well looking like it's waiting to depart for an ECW service.

The dimensions of the PIS screen on the 387 are still completely wrong, I won't go into detail as I have done so already here, but this shouldn't be acceptable. You don't even have to make a brand new train for this route and somehow still manage to miss one of the defining features of the 387s compared to the 377s.

    Yeah, just noticed that
It's been commented on before and I'm sure DTG have noted that the PIS isn't the same on the two units. Hopefully they can fix it in future but they do seem to have "PIS issues" across the board so I'm not sure how well staffed the PIS division is

This isn't the PIS devision, this is the modelling division. They need to change the model (slightly) to make it looks more realsitc. The scripting team might need to lend a hand too but it's no mamoth job.
And if they'll say "it's too much work so short before release", well then why didn't you do it right in the first place? There's really no excuse for that, either someone didn't care and told the devs to not do it or the person in charge of the research didn't do their job properly.

    Excellent find

Wondering what other services/ locos might be possible in this route?

Also is it possible to get AI trains before it gets released as a loco dlc I e. the 313?

Having the 09 would make more sense as it was a Southern Region loco and there did used to be one at Brighton

PIS is different dimensions & font...
They don't necessarily need to change the model as the blind around the PIS is a simple black and could be applied as an overlay rather than an internal build. I'm pretty sure the window surround is the same dimension on the two units. Haven't seen a GX IRL for a while but they look the same in the shots I've seen

Agreed - as was the Class 33, which maybe (just maybe) we might hope to see with some railtour services if the railtour 'base' is WSR rather than NTP this time around.

Looking nice but not sure about the foliage around Preston Park station. Again the density is lacking. The running lines should be engulfed by trees and bushes but the lineside looks quite bare and open, particularly in the distance.

With every set of screenshots, my overall excitement for this route increases dramatically. Can’t wait to drive the 387 in that lovely red livery and the scenery looks so fantastic. This is without doubt my most anticipated route since I discovered TSW during lockdown in 2020. It’s great to see the 313 is pretty much ready, making her debut in one of the screenshots. Roll on the preview streams.

Depends on which photo you use as reference... They do cut the foliage back, and in recent years have done a lot of cut backs on banks in the southeast

(Or they haven't got it working yet...)

Im excited reading about the extra layers! We've already seen the 465 layer and now the 313 and 09 hopefully this will give me another reason to get WSR too!

I wonder if the 313 will be a layer once purchased for ECW?

I would imagine so. Hopefully that also means they can solve the "substituting 4 car trains for 3 car trains" issues that I've seen people talking about

DTG just can't do proper foliage unfortunately. Every TSW route suffers from the issue you described there

I think the 313s only go to Seaford so they'll just be AI going off map. Unless DTG decided to fill the timetable with some fictional runs to improve variety and make it feel busy.

The cab of the 387 looks nice and different, I'll probably be driving that more than the 377. Let's hope this route lives up to the hype.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the 313 was just included in this route as standard and a layer was added in as a free upgrade on ECW. That way, nobody would have to buy it as a separate DLC then. It would be a great gesture from DTG for all the massive faff we’re enduring with the Rush Hour release still going as smoothly as wood-chip wallpaper, and the wait for the 313 feeling longer than the wait for the second Stone Roses album. Just a thought.

Or they could be secretly devving the WCW and just not told us, and it'll be another six months til the unit gets released, with that route
    (just joking)

Still see the empty hills in the background tho, they could do with pushing out the distant scenery a bit more. Otherwise all the screenshots look great!

The black section above the window is the same on both trains, yes. But the part of that section that is occupied by the PIS screen is different. And as the current model has an indent for the screen (as it should), they will need to change the model to make that indent be the right size.

If DTG reproduced every RL tree and shrub, then players would be complaining about framerates and stuttering. Every additional scenery asset is more GPU load

No, because the route is only electrified as far as Hayes & Harlington and the route is set in a time where they weren't in service. It would be inaccurate to add them.

Would have been Heathrow Express Class 332s at the time. 387s only just took over HX services, and the red GX livery would be painfully wrong.

It really won't be, it's missing so many features that Dresden - Riesa had that there's no way it'll get up to that quality. We haven't even had a stream yet and we've already seen a large amout of mistakes.

This will probably be the last point I make about the 387s duels voltage functionality until we get more info but I hope the sound with raising the pantograph are accurate. This video by CHOO-CHOO!!Plane shows an electrostar switching power at about 9:50.
