Important to emphasise that there is not one of those huts at Preston park either

I didn't see/read anywhere that it says it is operational? Will be looking forward to trying it, we saw an introduction to it on CCL so hopefully it will be here aswell. 2

The class 313 as far as I am aware has never run services out of London Victoria.

There is a photo on Google Maps of one at South Croydon station, but I don't know how long ago that was.

    EDIT: https://www.google.com/maps/place/South+Croydon/@51.3628664,-0.0936188,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipNzU6dlKGglUsMGIICCE3ukvhhf4gfa687QXsxO!2e10!3e12!6shttps://lh5.googleusercontent.com/p/AF1QipNzU6dlKGglUsMGIICCE3ukvhhf4gfa687QXsxO=w114-h86-k-no!7i4032!8i3024!4m5!3m4!1s0x4876074b54b694f3:0xabac136a26d7f136!8m2!3d51.3628664!4d-0.0936188

Says June 2021, but that might just be the upload date. I don't know the station well enough to know which platform and where it's going from/to.

That's what I meant... 377/6 and 377/4 as an example

Occasionally, VERY occasionally they go up the Brighton Mainline to Selhurst Depot if they need specific maintenance they can’t do else where. As far as I know, they have never been in passenger operations on the Brighton Mainline.

For the 09 in real life loverswalk depot do they shunt the 313 or have they got special couplings for the electrostars aswell?

Sneaky, dtg, sneaky. Hiding the 313 In there.
Maybe we’ll get the 313 for free as an apology for the horrific launch of the summer update. I doubt it though.

A highly theoretical and deliberately controversial question for the floor: for the London metro services (eg. to Sutton, Epsom Downs, Epsom, Dorking etc) which might be typically or sometimes operated by a 455, would you prefer:

    a) Nothing
    b) The 313, if available, to substitute, even knowing that they've never operated on BML (as they're at least old and rickety like the 455s)
    c) 377

The 09 at Brighton seems to have been mainly used for shunting loco hauled coaches around, and this stopped running to Brighton in 2002. So the unit sat there or did deicing of the 3rd rail. Modern EMUs don't have the required couplers or buffers and it's easier to connect another compatible unit to it than to devise a coupler so they can be hauled.

Decent vid of the last 09 day at Brighton...

    A > Nothing
Because I would hope they could get the 455 and 700s licenses down the line, make the south London lines to London Bridge and then have the proper layers
As we saw with SEHS, putting in nonsensical layers doesn't help for those who know the route (such as running electrostars through Gravesend)

Nice they've got the 387 startup sounds. I do have a video of the 387 startup where it says this, although also in the video can be heard they didn't want in on YouTube so unfortunately I can't share it.
Although I suppose if you sat on a 387 at the front your here it

Tbh I'd rather have the 377. I've had /4s quite a few times on the Epsom Downs branch, so I assume it's the same on other metro services.

Be nice if they did a 455 for this route , yes I know they don't go south of Purley BUT there have been football specials to Brighton ,
Just think of all the money DTG could make with all these loco add-ons for the BML :
    171 (ECS selhurst to Lewes)
    455 Victoria to Purley
313 lovers walk to selhurst ECS + ECW
    700 Croydon to Brighton

Personally, I'd prefer the 455 though I am a sucker for Mark 3 based units. That and the 700 are definitely the most obvious choices for a loco add-on in my opinion.

More likely that you’ve seen 455s. 313s will only be sent to Selhurst occasionally for the use of the wheel lathe and heavy maintenance.
I recall a 313 rescuing the NR 313 though, but I can’t remember exactly what the move was.

Would love to see the 455s on there, and also a 700 just to add to the realism. Also something like a GBRF 73 (maybe the Southern 73??) and a Hanson 59.

Yes, so excited for this! :) Have spent months anxiously waiting to see how good TSW 2 could make BML, from what I've seen so far I'm extremely pleased on several factors coming from the screenshots: loads of AI traffic at Rush Hour level, metro services, layers, a decent looking route (well forgetting the placeholder at Reigate), plus confirmed new sounds. Just hope I have the same hype on conclusion following the upcoming streams.

Just want to say the 313 at Brighton is epic, didn't expect to see this so soon. Wouldn't it be nice if DTG surprised us with the inclusion of Hove on the route for the shuttle service, one can only dream...

On a final note, I'm glad DTG managed to show some of the other stunning features found on the route outside of London for those not from the area, namely the absolutely impressive Ouse Valley Viaduct (near Balcombe Station) and the Castle-inspired looking Clayton Tunnel (near Brighton).

Personally, I'd have to stick with the 377 (C) on this occasion. As much as I love the 313, I think it would look a little odd seeing the likes of East Croydon full of trains with the names/pictures of Littlehampton, Portsmouth, Brighton etc adorned on the side of the train! :D If anything, I'm hoping on the outside chance of a WCW route being made in the future to fulfil all my 313 driving needs.

Something I spotted whilst browsing through the recent screenshots of the upcoming "London Commuter" route.

Clayton Tunnel caught my attention because it looked off to me, and upon research with the help of Google Maps, it appears that the actual building is nowadays more of a faded/oxidised white. I'm not sure how this was missed as it is an important landmark of the Brighton Mainline and there's a plethora of info available online for it.

Could this be something that can be passed onto the development team if possible?

    Many thanks

Someone who knows that they’re doing could probably do a texture mod for it to make it lighter as a part of a whole route enhancement mod pack

If the texture itself isn't vastly complex I may try and give it a go myself once it releases.

That’ll be good, I’d love to try & do it but I wouldn’t know where to start but for me the things I’d like to see for mods would be ballast, PIS (not completely worried if not) & the castle bright to a lighter shade

But console players wouldn’t benefit from such mods - sadly.

I wonder if when the 313 is released there will be more 377 AI layers for trains departing Brighton to London on ECW.

I have created ballast mods before, the Cathcart Enhancement Pack being one of my most popular mods I've uploaded so far. So it should be relatively simple

Awesome, I do like a sneak peak, and I love the 08 (although it might be the 09 as that's the only green one in the game atm) :)

hmm.., i think shadows and lightening make a huge difference. I dont see any Problems with the texture in the screenshot.

I really understand the topic about the Reingate station, which looks nothing like the real, but this tunnel is good in my opinion. Time to put the microscope back where it belongs :)

    If wishes were horses.....
But you're right, it would be a nice gesture to calm the waters somewhat.
And it wouldn't be a first, either. DTG have given away some freebies in the past on TS.

Not game breaking but its a bit disappointing to see some of the station assets missing and/or in the incorrect place.

Here, at Preston Park, we can see that DTG have placed the station signs on the lamp posts instead of it being a dedicated sign.

The PIS is also missing from the end of the canopies, and placed in the incorrect place. In fact there should be the horizontal boards at each end of the station, with the vertical boards in the middle, however it looks like DTG have only used one set of boards for the entire station.

The lights should also be LED type.

I think my only criticism is the fact the PIS on front of the class 387 is the same as the class 377, which is not the case in real life as you can see from the image below on a GWR* service, the PIS is a different shape and size compared to the class 377. [IMG]

    * I would love to see the class 387 on the GWR route if it was ever to be upgraded to have OHLE.

It said in the article the 387 has WiFi. My original point- as a joke- was is the WiFi replicated in the game
