Picked up the vR 101 and want to use it in a scenario I cloned for the Berlin-Liepzig route. I am using TS Tools and can't seem to locate where the engine is located in the Assets directory. When I right-click on the engine that has this engine it points to:
    vR_Steam_ProLine\vR_BR101_VRot_EL\Elloks\BR101\BR101-VRot_DynNum.xml

I don't see an xml file in that directory, I can't find a RailVehicles folder.

Anyone use this loco in a different scenario?

Almost Everything you buy thru Steam comes in an *.ap file

You need to go in to your \Assets\vR_Steam_ProLine\vR_BR101_VRot_EL folder then extract the Elloks folder.
I use 7Zip and choose Extract Here which keeps the correct folder structure
When you have done that TS Tools will be able to see it

As the DTG's DB BR 101 is a little bit old, will you recommend the vR one as a replacement? I'm thinking of buying it.

I've only one one run so far - the 'easy' scenario and it was great! Good PZB/AFB implementation - just have to note the different keyboard shortcuts and I can't find a keyboard shortcut for AFB decrease - just increase. But had a very good run from KOBLENZ to KÖLN. I think I have the train set for a Liepzig to Berlin run replacing the default 101 in that route. I highly recommend it (so far!)

Ahhh! Tried the unpack AP file.vR_Steam_ProLine\vR_BR101_VRot_EL\vR_BR101_VRot_ELAssets.ap in TSTools. I'm not getting an option in 7Zip to extract the ...Vrot_EL folder or the Ellocks folder within that. I was able to swap manually in the edit scenario inside of TS, but have other still to do and I found it generally easier to swap in TSTools.

    Thanks Peter...

Try right clicking over the ap file, then 7-zip and Extract Here

I use 7zip directly by highlighting the file > Right Click > Extract Here.

In TS Tools is the option to extract the *.ap files

Go down the list to find what you want and click on the button bottom left corner

As for the AFB - as you know it is normally Y to increase and C to decrease but there is nothing in the manual to say what is the c for decrease - so I use the mouse for this loco

vR is one of the best locos available on the market especially in terms of realism.
