Hi all, this is just a quick suggestion of mine. The current in-game model of the Class 43 HST from Great Western Express has the aliminium 'GWR' lettering GWR applied when refurbishing these sets on the side as pictured below. However, when the class 43 gets livery designer compatibility these letters would be in the way of creating liveries of the 43 from before the refurbishment (so basically any livery that isn't modern GWR), because the letters would be in the way. Perhaps DTG is already planning on doing this, because the GWR lettering showing on liveries could cause licensing issues. As the older FGW class 43 model without this lettering is already in-game, albeit hidden (and only unlockable via a PC mod), it might be the smartest to 'simply' convert that model into the livery designer one, and not the GWR class 43. If licensing isn't a problem, it could also be an idea to have both a version with and a version without the lettering, to offer more possibilities. I hope I've made my point clear, and you all are just as exited to make liveries like the ones below for the beautiful class 43 when it gets it's upgrades . The original BR blue livery of the HST, a favourite among many railfans the so-called Intercity Executive scheme (slightly different to the Intercity Swallow one, and not to be confused with it), my personal favourite.
They have already made the model with no logo as you say, so they'll use that model for the livery designer. I'm sure DTG aren't so stupid that they use the logo version in the livery editor.
I doubt they’d be allowed to keep the GWR logo on the livery editor model. I’m sure there’ll be some licensing requirement that that’s not possible.
yeah but I can't seem to paint the gangways on the 387 in the Livery Designer.. really annoying as I now can't create a pride version of the Gatwick Express livery..
