Because the DLGW pack version of the 101 is the only one to date which is LD compatible. Adam and the Preserved team haven't got round to NTP or TVL yet.
Started on this one today..... I think I'm going to base it on CP #9727 either in it's Biodiesel livery or possibly after it had the Biodiesel lettering removed.
Is that on one of the consoles? Have they updated you on progress on your ticket? If not I’d chase them up to see what they say.
New livery for VIA Rail Canada, the official livery was just released. this livery will be used on the Quebec City - Winsdoe high speed corridor starting in the begining of 2022. The Siemens trainsrts will enter service in late 2022. Since the isn't an equivilant loco in TSW 2, i choose to use the LGV loco and coaches instead.
Some BN Cascade green starts it's journey east over sand patch grade. I'm planning to weather the 7011 and add more detailing and the white cab engine will receive lighter weathering as well as numbers. I took the pic now because I got pretty lucky getting both on one train.
Well.....lets just say I was not too happy with it and said some less than friendly words on my opinion of their response......haha honestly my thoughts have always been that my railfan shots are taking up a bunch of space. Actually...I can still paint things they just won't save. Sad too because I really want to get crazy with the ACS-64 and the F40ph-3
I also realised: The livery designer itself isn't actually that bad. The 300 layers limit is the true pain in the back. I hope you make your livery avaiable to download. It would be awesome!
Very Nice.....that was the concept livery......I did the same too, and included a special pride add on.
Somehow I find this process finicky, frustrating, time-consuming, sometimes maddening... and weirdly satisfying. But gosh darn it LD 2.0 better have font functionality!
And here it is, 146 246-4, finished (the clean, unweathered version): 1,389 layers I'll go ahead and upload this, and the weathered version when I get it done.
Still working on this one..... It's at the 650 layer mark so far with just one or two more things to add or tweak before weathering. Obviously the yellow reflective strips interfere with the CP white dashes but I've put them in anyway even though the effect isn't quite as it should be. I also took her out for a spin in game. Even at a lowly 650 layers there's a longer wait for the loco to appear on the menu screen and the game itself then takes a little longer to load on my system but we're talking a few seconds at most. Once it's finished I'll remove the extra lettering and do a version, maybe with a different road number, in the plainer post lettering livery.
More progress with weathering and also say hello to the second loco in the set.... Numbered as 9731 after she has had the biodiesel lettering removed. I've only lightly weathered 9727 but wanted to really heavily weather 9731 after seeing photos of both 9727 and 9731 in a really filthy state after they'd had the extra lettering removed but unfortunately the limitations of the livery editor and how the gradient shapes look when viewed in game have meant this is about as dirty as I think I can make her. I'm working over the next couple of days so I'll look to upload them early next week.
For the moment paused, as there are some locos i am little bit more into than the 143. But the 143 will also be finished soon
I've been working more on the older style MBTA livery for the F40PH. Gave it some weathering based on pictures of the real locomotive, and also have two separate liveries now with different weathering - one based on a picture of the MBTA 1010, and another one of the 1070. I think the front of this 1010 turned out pretty nice, though the sides will need some more weathering later on. But I prefer this livery over the newer MBTA ones, so I guess I'll do some more sometimes so the game spawns more of them. I don't know if they're even prototypical on the F40PH-3C or not, but I think it fits them much better.
Another couple of locomotives finished along with the CP biodiesel pair. Uploaded these along with the CP pair today.
I've been away from the game for a bit... can someone tell me if they've fixed the pixelated liveries issue on console yet (or provided an update if they haven't)?
Now that the pixel issue has been resolved for me I've started using them again, 40445 in Midland Mainline livery and a 483 in the new Island Line livery
With the recent release of the Class 387 on the London Commuter route, I've created a livery in GWR colours as it is my favourite livery. London Victoria is laggy at the moment but it does offer good lighting for photos.
So I'm guessing the 313 is representing a 150, the Electrostar is supposed to be a 185 and the American unit is a 158? It's quite fun trying to work out what each piece of the puzzle here is. Honestly, with the tools and assets we have in the game, I am impressed.
The 314 is a Northern 319/769 The M7 is a 158 And the 387 is a 350 Very close Thank you , the Livery designer is no easy beast to figure out
I made a NSE for the 387.ngl it looks like chiltern railways more than NSE lol (I took it on my phone. Sorry about the quality)
