Hello folks, We'll be previewing the West Cornwall Local route tonight with Jasper from Rivet Games (19:00 UTC). Please post any questions you'd like us to answer, or anything you'd like to see!
Does this route have working PIS? What are the service patterns in the timetable? Can you show us the beach area? Does this route have any unique / special / new features?
What is the top speed limit on the route? Can you show us the procedure for switching cabs in the 150 at the end of a route please? Any quirks specific to the 150 we should know about?
What made you pick this route and how long has it taken you Also what is your favourite part of the route
Here's a few of mine Why choose the ballast wagons if there's no China Clay for this route? Are there any freight services included? And why extend the line a bit just to add freight?
Just out of curiosity, why Regional Railways with one passenger train & one freight train, set in the 90s and not something like GWR with more than one different type of passenger train in that area? (not been keeping update on it so I may be wrong). Either way im loving the route as it is and I cant wait to get my hands on it
I agree. This feels like a missed opportunity. They obviously have the GWR license as seen on Great Western Express and the poster in the Rivet video walk around so why not set in post 2016 and include the HST as a layer? The route with no HST is going to feel so weird. Definitely one for the scenario planner this.
Will there be depot activity? Will the timetable be authentic and not computer generated so that it’s difficult to be on time? Will we have plenty of set up time?
I wish we could have a modern HST class 43, with the sliding doors and not the manual ones with handles. There isnt much difference between the 2 carriages. If you like Dovetail I can send some photos?
Is there any possibility of those with GWE to get a separate timetable using the HST, 150/2 in a GWR livery? If not then at least we have the scenario planner This is in the future, not necessarily at launch
The fact this isn't a modern route is about 75% of my excitement for the route, I guess I just can't switch the historian in me to 'off'
I dont think the opportunity is missed. Would also like to see more services like the 08, 47 or valentia hst. If the route is solidr made (and i liked it a lot what i saw on stream), then there is plenty room for dlc addons. I would even buy a layer pack for this route separate. Or shunting layers for freight & passenger.
Question for Rivet on the 150... 150/1s are only slightly different, would it be much work to modify the 150/2 you have made to give us 150/1 as well in the future, is this something you can look into please? Thanks.
Slightly means probably depending how much you would pay for it. The 150/1 still has major differences like the gangway & cab interior. But as payware addition i like this idea to have the 150/1 too in tsw2. Nice suggestion though.
I think obviously there would be some work but certainly not much compared to building a unit from scratch, they have most things sorted with the 150/2, just some modifications. I'm sure people would pay the standard price for a loco to have it. Me personally, I can't wait to recreate arriva liveries.
Why no HST or loco hauled layer for the main line? There was time enough to reskin the HST into IC livery and source the Valenta sounds. Would add my concerns to those already aired about the 150 and track sounds, after the rancid 1938 stock experience.
They're quite similar to the 150/2 that people have just bought with the route for a full-price loco add on, but if they did a bundle deal with the 150/1 and IC HST, that could be a goer.
I would still like to hear from Rivet/DTG the answer on that, thanks. (As I'm sure a great many other customers now sitting on the fence would too). They could also answer whether a Valenta I/C livery HST DLC along with Class 47 hauled Mk2 D/E/F coaches are on the agenda for a future DLC. (Also Mk3 Sleepers for the Night Riviera).
They did go into it a little for the preview stream but I think they misunderstood the question as they were saying why they chose the 150 over the HST and not why they chose the 37 over it. I suspect we won't hear anything on a potential DLC for a while, after all 'if it's not on the roadmap...'.
If trophies are being disabled for the West Cornwall Route on PS4, will they be enabled at some point further down the line? If yes, what is the likely timescale? And if no, then why? I appreciate PS5 has specific issues so why does this affect PS4 Trophies? Thank You Katia
How come you decided to extend the route to St Austell instead of perhaps adding a extra branch line to Falmouth dock ?.
