    Hi DTG
If it isn't too much to ask for could we please get an Australian route, possibly from somewhere in Sydney or even rural NSW/VIC. I don't believe it would be too hard as you have already made routes outside of America, England and Germany so maybe it's time to go down under and drive some real muscle.
    Thanks.

For me how about Main South Line Sydney Central Station down to Campbelltown via Granville & Liverpool. I did that routing in September 2002. At 8pm AEST 6pm AWST trains to Liverpool NSW require a change at Granville Platform 2 for Cityrail South Line to Campbelltown from Sydney Central Station Or Town Hall.

Australian routes are amongst my favourite in MSTS/OR, whether it’s Coals To Newcastle heading north from Sydney or one of the others. Something like Moss Vale to Unanderra would be a nice choice too, good scenery and challenging grades but you would probably need to add a bit of the Main South either side of Moss Vale, maybe include some of the quarry branches.

Like Dutch routes (my greatest wish to see) Australian routes are often requested, and for good reasons. I have good hopes one will come soon, though I'd have no idea which. I don't know a lot about Australian railroads, so I'll wait until something is announced before I make up my mind about whetere I'd be interested. I hope for you all that they'll come!

Combine 1.067m Gauge with Sydney Commuter Rail you are going to get Perth and Brisbane commuter rail system. That includes the 2001 opened railway line to Brisbane Eagles farm Airport opened in 1988

For heavy freight, we could get a Pilbara Iron Ore route with an EMD SD70ACe, GE AC6000CW, SD90MAC, or C44-9W. The AC6000CWs were scrapped and replaced by SD70ACes.

With a Geelong to Melbourne route including the 2 stations:[IMG][IMG]

I would like to see the Puffing Billy Railway in Train Sim, I think a narrow gauge route in Train Sim would be so good. Also it’s a very popular steam railway, and and a lot of people want steam in Train Sim

I would wholeheartedly back anything Australian. But I am a bit biased towards NSW since I live there haha. Once steam comes out I would love to see the 3801 (see my profile pic lol).

We don't have anything crazy fast. 160 km/h is the fastest I believe.

That would be somewhat correct but just so you know the Electric Tilt Train in Queensland during a trial run in 1998 managed to reach a speed of 210 km/h (130 mph) but while in passenger service the Train does not run faster than 160 km/h (99 mph) other trains that run in Australia that reach 160 km/h (Which is the highest speed in Australia as of now) include the Transwa WDA/WDB/WDC class, V/Line VLocity, XPT and Diesel Tilt Train. While in passenger service these trains only operate 160 km/h they can only be classed as higher-speed rail, not high-speed rail.

That's crazy. I didn't know that both the maximum speed and the maximum operating speed of Queensland's Tilt Train and Victoria's VLocity was the same. 210kmh max, 160kmh operating. I just assumed that because the tilt was electric and has tilt technology it would have been allowed to run faster.

I've added this thread to the list of Australian proposals and suggestions under the general discussion category found here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/australian-proposal-suggestion-master-list.41526/

Thanks for telling me about that I got it stuck on my head because I was in Sydney New South Wales September 2002. If set on that year M Set featured on the posters L,R & S sets are prevalent then the 1980s C,K,T & G sets alongside V sets built that decade. Had 8143 Western line Granville to Paramatta

I’d be extremely excited to see any Sydney route, for instance to Kiama in the South or to Newcastle in the North. Bondi Junction to Cronulla or Hornsby to Katoomba.

The scenic railway from Cairns to Kurunda would be fantastic too.
