Don’t know if you’ve seen but west Cornwall route is NOT coming tomorrow due to an unspecified problem
Maybe it's because they couldn't find anything wrong with it so they decided to delay it a few days in order to make it equally as broken as everything else in TSW.
WAIT what happened to DTG release it broken collect lots of cash and fix it later policy.Someone at DTG must have bumbed there head. You can bet your bottom dollar or euro that if this had been a dtg product instead of a rivet game product, dtg wouldn't have delayed it even it it was 99% broken.
TRAIN SIM"BROKEN"WORLD 2...Where it's a race to see how fast we will all go broke whole still buying dtg broken dlc's.
It's out already in some countries. What's the issue for those already playing it? https://www.microsoft.com/p/train-s...ocal-penzance-st-austell-st-ives/9n0v9cqc8zlf
It will be interesting to see if it's too late to stop release on Xbox and Playstation as someone will have already pushed the button to start the rollout as it's available in Australia and New Zealand. Xbox Australia
Maybe they have finally decided to listen to people and have stopped release to update the core game. While this is a Rivet Games release, it's not fair on Rivet to release their hardwork in to a currently very broken game.
Could you people calm down a bit? Everyone is complaining when stuff is broken on release, and now there are complaints when a release is postponed due to problems? You do realize that with that mentality it will always be the wrong thing happening, there can never be a proper and approved way because these are the only two options there are? And if both are that bad, what exactly are you expecting?
Why? They can’t win. Release a route full of bugs - complaints. Pull a route (temporarily) because of bugs - complaints. Better to hold than release in a broken state.
It's a good thing if a unfinished or buggy product is delayed, not a bad thing. You've only got to look at results such as Cyberpunk to see the consequences. Sure it may be annoying in the short term, but I can guarantee you that you'd be much happier with a finished product.
I thought that everyone on this forum would have been pleased at the delay of the game , which is obviously because it’s got problems. The main gripe on here by everyone (including me) is that they have been releasing stuff that is broken . But of course there has to be a few that have to moan . Probably the same ones that moan that “ the stream is too loud “ and when it’s been turned down “ooh I can’t not hear now” Imagine cooking a meal for these people
Eh, just goes to show you can't please everyone doesn't it? I mean to be fair, yes people are currently annoyed at DTG, so for some this may just be another thing to add to their hit list, but this is honestly a good thing. This is what should be the norm for the game industry. If its not ready, don't ship it.
Ah yes, Cyberpunk, which was also announced today we'll be getting a proper finished console version of in checks notes "The year it should damn well have been released in the first place", AKA 2022.
It's often hard to pick up the subtleties of humour on forums without appropriate emoji use, so I'm just going to assume you're joking.
I think on balance the majority of us vastly prefer when stuff is released late but works, vs it releasing in a right state and us getting all worked up trying to enjoy it but being constantly frustrated.
Does anyone really believe that no matter when this route get's released it still isn't gonna release broken.
Like it's been stated in many a past thread we are all dtg and there 3rd parties secret game testers...So have fun in the land down under...
Well for me, delayed is good, can't fault them for delaying due to whatever reason. Yes I am peeved that there various faults with routes etc but at least we all have the luxury of interacting with the devs. This is by no means defence but it is a praise. Lets be grateful for what we actually have. There are many more games and publishing houses broken that have no to little interaction with real gamers. Like the real BR of days old.....Dovetail....We're getting there
On the plus side the achievements are all loaded up and ready. Different story last week with the new loco DLC’s “fastest pasty in the west” made me chuckle (65mph in the 150)
It's available in Australia any Australians here already played it? https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/t...ives/9n0v9cqc8zlf?activetab=pivot:overviewtab Steam still plans on releasing it tomorrow aswell, maybe its to late to stop it as tbf it is very short notice?
they will regret downloading it though, personally I don’t think it’s fair on them and lots of complaints likely if it’s really bad… although the rest of the world won’t get to see this botched version that made it to the store. that big red deploy button was pressed some hours before before the announcement and it would have been gone midnight in some locals before they/DTG could recall the route. There are some streamers on YT in that neck of the woods who do day one stuff, might take a peek myself.
DTG announced it 3 hours ago and xbox Australia have already released with the UK following in a few hours and steam scheduling it for release in 20 hours I'd assume it's to late for DTG to be able to do anything now that "deploy button" has already been pressed?
I'm often critical of DTG, but this is just ridiculous. I'm glad they've taken the decision to delay the release, as this must mean there's some very major bugs there. Delaying the release and fixing any problems will give DTG a much better reputation than a buggy release.
wait.. did you double quote me? I wouldn’t be so sure on it being live in the UK store in a few hours. If it’s that bad to delay it am sure they wouldn’t want it scattered all over the globe. There is a mystery tile on the add-ons for the game right now (uk store) shows as an actual tile but it’s blank and the content won’t load. Spooky
Very spooky considering rivet haven't said a word and they released the update preparing for release earlier on today I think the likes of valve and Microsoft have probably already gone home so doubt they will do anything about it now
I disagree. I think they should release now with a caveat (to avoid disappointment) and then patch later.
I do think it's a great that DTG/ RIVET have taken note and are fixing bugs but it does beg the question why they wernt spotted earlier this is very short notice and feels a lot like there chasing a train that's already long gone.
I bet most the people moaning about the delay are pc players like Matt said last night the pc is not in a to bad condition got issues but nothing compared to consoles I think most pc gamers think us console players shouldn't have a game like train sim to play on our consoles
At last they have taken a step in the right direction. Have you seen the patch notes for the 5 gb fix? Nothing to help fix optimisation or getting a train into Dortmund station! The Q&A stream was honest but depressing - the bit about Quality Control was the most depressing in hat they
...in that they hadn't thought of testing with all DLC in place - even though memory problems were so obvious. This isn't good enough remains the refrain and at this rate the small patches approach will take months. Where are the Preservation Vrew updates?
I can offer a little more insight into who can see what and when. You will have noticed our Australian/New Zealand players have access to WCL. This will also become available for Xbox users in the UK at midnight. On Playstation and PC the delay will be in effect.
Unless you plan to purchase and play right away Get some sleep mate Nat has confirmed it’ll be present later..
Personally, I don't think there's a problem with Xbox for the new route. I could of course be completely wrong with this initial assessment but the line from Nat is interesting as she's only saying that for PS and PC it's being delayed not for Xbox. However if it IS a major issue, why hasn't she said don't play the route, as it has such and such a problem. Then, hey presto! Community informed. Rivet and DTG not humiliated, no silly threats of court action, route is fixed and everyone is happy.
