Hey everyone, we are currently sourcing our sounds for the ES44AC and we are wondering if the community might be able to help us. We are specifically looking for quality audio of the Nathan K5HL/K5HLL airhorn. If you have audio files you think we could use or you know someone who does, please put us in touch so we can investigate if the sounds are usable. If we find something suitable we would very much like to get licenses to use it. With this in mind, please try not to link us to YouTube pages, as often the quality of these sounds are either unusable for Train Sim World 2 or are copyrighted. We are hopeful we will be able to find some quality audio, but please don’t be disheartened if we are unable to use something you provide. If you think you can help us, please let us know below and we will be in touch.
Hello, I believe I might have 2 audio packs that are in your interest. https://www.patchhillaudio.com/copy-of-traffic-1 https://www.patchhillaudio.com/trains Both sound packs are available to be purchased, and have multiple high quality recordings of airhorns. I think "Freight train horn 4" would work perfectly.
I guess Skyhook learnt something... Finally finished mowing and have the time to get appropriate sounds (wink wink).
Ayo, y’all try this site: One example could be “Freight Train Horn 10”: https://www.soundsnap.com/search/au...braries=&audioLengthChanged=false&searchTerm=
Better fixed the DB BR 187 Sounds First. People already create mods or give you real life connections to record the Sounds
Hi, yes this is also on our radar so please if you have any connections in regards to the DB BR 187 Audio (again preferably not Youtube) then please message me with that and we can also look into this!
skyhook- sean I recommend you to get in contact the author of this mod - he might help you: https://rail-sim.de/forum/thread/34...ent-packs-soundmods/?postID=743787#post743787
skyhook- sean Because of the Headlights from the 187/147 it need to look exactly like this with the two lower lamps on with the third. But the TSW 2 Version has only the higher ones with is wrong.
Hi, yes we have seen the thread in regards to the 187 fixes that need to be made and we are currently looking into all issues. Thankyou .
I'd like to thank you for breaking the silence, glad to hear you're looking into it cause the model itself was amazing, also good luck with HSC, we all hope for the best
I would like to sincerely thank you and the community for your help and understanding! We are still growing as a team on TSW content and want to get stronger and stronger with our delivery going forward. We hope you guys continue to help us going forward!
Another source for BR 187 audio could be them, probably. http://s373240011.website-start.de/ They are a video production company, but I guess, for their DVDs, they recorded quite a lot audio.
Is great to have skyhook- sean onbord at forum. I fully unterstand that only practice and communication with community help them to move forward with better addons in future and with fixing/upgrading older content. Is there any info about Cane Creek fixes?
Hi yes, we are currently looking at feedback for the Cane Creek fixes. If you have any information for us in regards to the community feedback on fixes please let me know. We are working through what we can and any information you or any of the community have please let me know and we will see what we can do.
Thanks for reply, this link should by summary of forum threads related to Cane Creek things: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/search/16541192/?q=cane+creek&o=relevance&c[node]=80 Maybe there can be general Skyhook feedback thread to don't spam here a reports can directly find you and be forwarded to dev's. (or at least marked as acknowledged) Looking forward to HSC
Hi Sean, JimmyMillisky posted this on another thread, I know DTG Matt is already talking to Jimmy. Its post #44 on this thread here and mentions K horns (I don't know much about American horns but thought it might help ).
Hi, that is also definately worth a follow up on my end. I will look at getting additional details tomorrow thankyou very much for this!
Hi, yes if you guys also have any leads on the horn audio for the GP38-2 please also let us know so that we can assess it. I initialally only raised the audio about the ES44AC with it being a new loco to TSW2 but the GP38-2 is already in. Obviously i don't know anywhere near enough about the audio like you guys do but my initial thoughts were that the GP38-2 would already have audio. If i am wrong on this please let me know thankyou!
if you wouldn't mind can you find out what horn has been modeled on the GP38-2 please I would appreciate it
Technically there are at least 3 versions of the GP38-2s, in terms of former operators. The SOU (originally High Hooded, but many rebuilt into Short Hood now), Conrail/PC (all Short Hooded), and the rebuilds (a mix from NW/SOU/CR GP38/GP38AC units, all short hooded). Spoiler But, as there have been more low hoods than high hoods on the GP38 these days. My bet would be that they're making a low hood variant instead of the high hoods. Just a guess for now.
As Challenger3985 said above, there are 3 main versions of the GP38-2 that NS operates and each one has different horns. The former Conrail locos will almost always have a Leslie RS3L on them. The ex-Southern high hoods will have either a Nathan P5 or P3. When it comes to the rebuilds, it's usually a mixed bag. Since most of the GP38-2 fleet is old, many of the original horns have been replaced when they got rebuilt, usually with whatever horns they had in the shops on reserve. I've heard Leslie RS3L, Nathan P5, Nathan P3, and Nathan K5LA. I've even heard a Nathan K5LLA on one once (usually these horns are only on NS SD70ACe). So honestly there is a lot to choose from. In my personal opinion, I would love to see the RS3L because those horns are my favorite but also because the route over Horseshoe Curve is formerly Conrail, as are the GP38-2 that use these horns. I did make sound files for a P5 and RS3L but I forgot you can't upload mp3 to the forums. Edit: I uploaded the mp3 files Leslie RS3L from NS 5272: https://www.mboxdrive.com/Leslie_RS3L_NS_5272.mp3 Nathan P5 from NS 5270: https://www.mboxdrive.com/Nathan_P5_NS_5270.mp3
So happy a dev is actually asking the community for help! It's what made TS classic great and hopefully will do the same for TSW!
they are currently working on Horseshoe Curve after that I'm sure we'll find out what there working on next
There's only 8 German routes already out lmao So far there are only 5 American routes and 1 Canadian route, so it's good that they're finally getting back to American routes as they have been working nonstop on a couple British routes and the German route for Rush Hour.
Thankyou, that information is good to know! As for the horn sounds i will give them a listen and let you know what we think .
Hi! We have some audio collected for the GP38-2 but the more choices we have the better! I will look into all sound suggestions. Thankyou very much!
Hi, for confirmation we will not be using those horn sounds. The ES44AC and GP38-2 will have some new horn audio we are looking at . If you look above we are currently researching into the patchhill audio sound pack and have some freight horn options in there that we believe to match the horns used on these locomotives. We have also spoke with some of the community for confirmation on the audio for the horns. For context i believe the audio for the ES44AC horn we found is the K5HLL horn and the GP38-2 is an RS3L. Hope this helps clear things up .
So that would mean the GP38 you making is from the Ex-Conrail fleet (#5257-5361). Am I reading that right?
Hi, hopefully i don't upset you with my response but i am still learning my trade on locomotives but from the information i was given our locomotive number range does match the numbers you put. So if they match i assume that is correct. Please forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this but hopefully the matching number range helps.
Nah, you're fine by me. I'm just glad to see which variant of the GP38 is gonna be used and the horn sound that goes with it.
Actually, you might be right. I looked up the road numbers and they do indeed fall into the category of the Ex-Conrail GP38-2s. Based on this forum, and the road numbers they will be using, it looks like they are Ex-Conrail variants.
