Today ill be suggesting a modern West coast mainline route from London Euston to rugby which has 17 stations and is 76 miles so around 10-12 miles longer than the the LGV route and would feature 2 operators those being avanti west coast and London midland/London northwestern railway I have chosen avanti because I believe virgin asked to have the rights to use there logo in game was taken away And I have put London midland because I think LNR doesn't want to give license hence why the ts classic route didn't feature LNR The route would see Avant West coast Class 390 These would operate from euston to rugby stopping at watford junction Milton Keynes and Northampton but services do vary And London midland or London northwestern railway class 350 Would be see operating service from euston to watford junction/Tring/Northampton/Milton Keynes/Rugby There are 21 stations along this route Potential add ons Avanti west coast Class 221 super voyager These would do the same service as the 390 London northwestern/London midland class 319 These would run mainly peak time service I dint know how DTG would implement that but I wouldn't mind driving These anytime These would do more stopping service like the 350s Please read If you or DTG think this route is too long or has too many stations it could be cut back to Milton keynes having 13 stations and have 44 miles of track or to Northampton with 59 mile of track and 15 stations
Depot Wembley Intercity Depot This depot would host the class 390s While Camden carriage sidings would host the 319s and 350s I don't believe the 221s are allocated or stay over at Wembley at all
Excellent Idea and for Special paint class 390 there's 390 119 Pride followed by 390 112 & 390 042 Face mask paint. The last two are exactly identical to missing SEHS 395 002 395 017 except for the face mask paint Yellow for 390 042 390 112 but SEHS 395 002 395 017 Light Blue.
Don't forget London Overground with the Class 378 and 710 operating on the Watford DC line, half of which is already modelled on the Bakerloo line.
This would certainly be a very good start for Dovetail to do a >60 mile route. Just got to make sure that the ridiculously intense tilt works.
You'd be better off modelling the WCML to Nuneaton, as that would be the end of freight runs that would be heading off to Hams Hall or Landor Street etc. You'd have intermodal hub at Daventry for cargo wagons and intermodal. You'd need to include Northampton loop and fast lines via Weedon for fast and stopping services. A all round good choice.
This is a really good idea bc of how much new things and diversity we could get from the trains and service types, one that that would be cool to include would be class 90’s on freight
Avanti took over at the end of 2019 so it would be London Northwestern who had been in for two years by that point.
Yeah, but there's no real overlap, we can't have Virgin 390s and people in here won't tolerate inaccurate timelines!
