No rush - I just got Metroid Dread for the Switch so I’ll be tied up for a while. But I’m looking forward to completing my DLC collection. When do we anticipate another deep sale on Steam?

There is a sale (which they're doing a very good job of not promoting) on the Dovetail Store if you want to use that (have they solved the PayPal issue?): https://store.dovetailgames.com/uk/tsw2addons

In the Advanced Filters, you can get it to only show items on sale.

Is that compatible with Steam or do I need the epic version?

Dovetail Store gives you a Steam Store code, and gives instructions how to activate it.

If you purchase anything, I recommend you just use your Debit/Credit Card though, and not PayPal. People have reported issues with it not delivering the codes when using PayPal, and I'm unsure if it's been fixed.

How did I not know about this. The in-game store does not show the sale prices.

I paid by Paypal this afternoon so can confirm it is fixed.

I have zero idea why they are not promoting the sale either on SM or in game!!

There's a few items in the DTG store but only 25% off. The Steam sale may bring up to 40% or 50% off and you get the two hour dissatisfaction refund option too so I shall wait for that.

They haven't been promoting the sales for a while - there was one they only promoted on SM about 4 hours before it finished. From what I can see, there has only been one tweet sent about it, from the TS1 account (which has much more on discount tbf): https://twitter.com/railsimulator/status/1450832613439123456

UPDATE: I've just checked and I've had two emails about it (the most recent literally came a couple minutes ago)

Small question: At the moment, Haupstrecke München-Augsburg is reduced by 25% on DTG store. I would like to buy it, but do you guys think that on the steam sale, it will be reduced even more? I am kinda new to the PC world of TSW 2, so I have no idea of how big a route discount can be...

It almost certainly will be either 25% off or more in the Steam sale. According to SteamDB it's been at 40% off at some point, presumably the Summer sale and from memory the discounts in the Halloween sale aren't as heavy as summer or winter.

As noted above, I am waiting for the Steam Sale of which of course there will be a succession between now and the New Year. Don't let the money burn a hole in your pocket!

Keep your eyes pealed to the “latest sale” thread in Train Simulator section that’s where all the sales are noted whether it be Steam, DTG, AP, SSS, DT, RSSLO and others. You will never miss one if you do as some like the 70% off DT for TS ends today and was only live for 48 hours. Steam and DTG are the places for TSW content and have products for both games at the same time.
