Hi there, Some platforms are experiencing an issue where Mastery Challenges are showing as complete but the reward is not granted. We are working to resolve this issue. [Workaround] Players are reporting restarting their game unlocks the items
Thank you for the response but my issue is that the challenges are not updating with any fish caught on any of the lakes. I have actually caught the right fish and amount to unlock tier 1 on multiple lakes but all challenges still so 0/x completed. Also, sponsor discounts are not working. Still getting charged for the full amount. Discounts are showing but not applying when purchasing.
I have the same problem. I have hard reset, uninstalled then re-installed, signed in and out of dovetail multiple times...and yet, no challenges work. When i did the tutorial I believe it started me at Lake Hamilton or I somehow got there...I fished for 15 minutes and caught a few fish. The mastery challenges for Hamilton started, but now they won't update for ANY lake. I have finished the Sabine River challenges 50 times over and they won't trigger/update/ or anything. Also, Blue Catfish at Sabine are broken. They won't even move...Flats and Channels are fine, just the Blues won't hit anything. Not even the Pro Tip lure.
Mine weren't updating at first, but have since seen progress over the past week. I suspect it may be something to do with stability of the game servers somehow (just a hunch but no way of confirming). But I can't count the number of qualifying fish that I've caught for the mastery tiers on each lake only for the game to not count it. I have noticed that when I can't see any servers in the Online Public mode, even after refreshing the server list, I know that's not a good sign for any mastery challenge progress being recorded. Here's generally what I do: Step1: back out to the main menu and double check that I'm logged into my DTG account (green icon next to gamertag on main menu screen if you're playing on Xbox... I assume it is something similar looking on other consoles/steam). If I see no green DTG icon, well there's the problem - not signed into the dovetail account means you won't ever see any progress. Step 2: if the green DTG icon is on showing that I am currently logged in, then I go into the "Options" page from the main game menu and force "log off" from the dovetail games account (I believe in the options menu you hit "Y" to log out... the option should be listed at the bottom of the screen, or at least it is on Xbox). It will prompt you that you'll need to sign back in the next time you start the game. Step 3: quit the game and then restart and re-log back in on dovetail games (again, on Xbox it will prompt you to sign in with your email/PW before you get to the Mastery screen during the game launch. If you skip the sign in, then obviously no mastery progress will occur. Step 4: Go right into the game... and I mean, go right into Bassmaster Venue ASAP (or online, or whatever game mode it is you want to play). I have found is that if the mastery challenges are going to work, they work right away. But if you dilly dally in the menus changing loadouts, or character appearance, etc., it's like the game loses connection to the DTG server somehow and then the game doesn't track mastery progress. When I follow this approach, I'll see an update on the mastery progress bar within about 2 minutes or so from catching the first qualifying fish for the mastery tier on a given lake. I'll pause the game in-between casts every minute or so and go to the in-game mastery menu to check for progress. Once I see that progress is recording, then I continue fishing furiously. But if the mastery hasn't updated within 5 minutes of that first catch, I know it's probably not going to work this go-around, and I just have to log-out/restart/log-in again and hope it works next time. I've found that I can usually get about a 30-minute stretch where everything seems to update before mastery progress stalls. I just remember to pause in-between casts to check that the in-game mastery is actually showing progress. Once it stops, just have to rinse and repeat on the log-out/log-in and try over. I know that is not ideal, but it is a workaround I've found for the time being - I've now managed complete Tier 2 for Chickamauga, Sabine River and St Johns, Tier 2 for the Pro Mastery and Deluxe Mastery challenges, and Tier 1 complete for the Online mastery and all other lake mastery challenges except Toledo Bend (can't catch bluegills...lol).
