The items included in this pack are based off of what stock appears in this video ---> () most commonly, if there's anything that I either missed out or weren't seen too frequently along the route during this time period, please say below. Northern Transpennine appears to always have quite a lot of suggestions for it on these forums, whether that be layering in a new piece of stock to the timetable or a new piece of stock specifically for this route. This suggestion contains what I believe to be the best things to make for a 1990's era route. Included Rolling Stock Class 37/9 in Railfreight Metals livery (DO NOT use the same sounds as the Tees Valley Class 37 as that would not sound right for a start, required sounds can be found in above video at 42:18 to 42:24) Class 47 in Intercity livery + Intercity Mk2's & RES Mk1's Class 150/1 in Provincial livery Class 158 in WYPTE livery Stock layering into the timetable from other DLC's WCL: Class 150/2 in Reggie Rail livery for extra variety on passenger services, Class 37/6 for engineers trains NTP: BR Blue Class 47 for very infrequent appearance on services. Class 31: Extra variety on loco hauled TransPennine workings as well as other passenger & freight workings running off the map at either end of the line.
Wouldn't the route need upgrading to a different time period? Otherwise it might look a bit odd like Diesel Legends on GWE. (Although it may not look as out-of-place as Diesel legends as the difference would only be ~10 years not ~40 years).
I don’t think a lot would have changed with the actual line itself, I’d prefer a loco pack and separate timetable like diesel legends. Regarding the 37/9s, they very rarely worked in the North until the very end as a very small non standard sub class (4 Mirlees and 2 Ruston engined locos) they stayed close to Cardiff Canton where the knowledge to maintain them was. A better bet would be a 37/0 with split headcode boxes. I’d welcome anything new though, especially 150s, 142s, 156s and 158s
Not to mention some overhead lines... I would go with a loco pack on this one, especially if those locos / MUs were reuasable elsewhere like a 158, 156, 153 etc. We need things which can be used in timetables almost anywhere outside of London to avoid huge dev overhead in future
