    Anyone noticed this sound? Makes no sense. Sounds like someone is digging a ditch with a shovel...

    I think its the ticking spirax valve

    Here is the AP rendition for TS (you will most likely need to turn it up a bit to hear)

    That is indeed the spirax valve, which if I'm not mistaken removes water from components, or something like that.
