PANIC STATIONS!!!1! Seriously though it'll probably appear later tonight, or over the weekend. Or on Monday.
^^ And a roadmap stream on Tuesday, where we can find if anything from this might be actually previewed on Thursday or Friday (i.e. moved to next arrival). Otherwise, it could be something for TS2022 if nothing new to preview for TSW2 at that time.
It always used to be Monday. It’s only recently been Friday. It’s likely that Tuesday’s stream will be a routemap one and Wednesday’s will be Workshop Wednesday so we don’t really need to know until then.
This simply means there is likely no stream planned for Monday, but the 1st one will be on Tuesday. Come back on Monday.
Typically, the Schedule went up on a Monday. It's only been the last few months it's been Friday's. Not the end of the world.
12:30 CST: News Flash: Railfan TV to resume " in the near future " according to official sources. In local news: Man bites dog.
In other news, it's Rememberance Sunday... Lest we Forget the fallen, and the lost Railfan TV Schedule (Seriously though never forget the brave who fell in brutal conflicts for their countries) Background and 'Article' are both mine.
Just like Trainsimplayer's post above. It is only very recently that the schedule has gone up on a Friday. It is not the end of the world weather it goes up Friday, 9am Monday or an hour before the first stream of the week. We don't need updates we can all check for ourselves.
https://breakyourownnews.com/ You can mess around in here and create fake news headline things (I genuinely don't know anymore )
Sure totally unacceptable that no ones came in on Sunday to put up the schedule. This thread is the thread that just keeps giving
Sorry, where does it say when it should go up? Can you please stop giving us updates of something we can quite clearly see for ourselves. Besides it’s the weekend. If it didn’t go up Friday, it’s not going to be until Monday.
Yeah, mostly because you've made it seem like it's a big issue. To remove some stress, here's a hint: Tuesday - Roadmap Wednesday - Workshop Potentially G6, Sherman Hill or HSC could show up as well.
No schedule yet, no core update, no new route released, all in the last ten minutes. It’s been a busy old time for things not happening.
I'm probably going to get hounded for saying this on the TSW forum, but am I the only one who thinks there should be more TS1 strems outside of the weekly workshop one? Perhaps return to dedicated streams for releases, as it just feels like the workshop ones are just there to fill some arbitrary quota.
Hey Cameron, you make a good point that there often isn't much variety with our TS streams, if you were given a choice, what kind of streams would you enjoy watching?
I'd like to see more streams where the focus is on the gameplay (TS or TSW) without the constant rehashing of what is the state of upcoming content or bugs. The roadmap, the preview and release streams are when community feedback should be in focus. The Let's play streams should be somebody playing and hopefully enjoying the game. Maybe it bothers only me, but I find the recent streams almost unenjoyable because the talking is almost exclusively about the state of the game and rehashing the same old reasons for it. I love the 4-way challenges exactly because it is about the gameplay.
Yeah, a 4UP challenge in TS1 would be good, although perhaps with a different winning goal, since its career scenarios have a maximum score of 1000 - perhaps a run where you start at 1000 and see who loses the least amount of points? Perhaps a return to preview and content release streams (even if they're bumped to Fridays if something TSW-y is happening) - there's still a boat load of content coming out for TS1 and barely gets mentioned on stream, and if it does Jamie has to somehow shoehorn it into the Workshop stream (I think he even once had to resort to knocking together his own scenario on a workshop route). Speaking of previews, and this goes for TSW, I will die on this hill that the Weardale & Teesdale one is the best they've done They have someone from the dev team (OK, Derek was head of content at the time, but he started building it - you might recognise him as he's a passenger in some of the trains in TS1, and he's on a whisky billboard) talking about the route, they're both showing pictures of its real-life counterpart, showing what's included in in the pack in a series of pictures/PP slides, rather than Matt waving his mouse around the main menu - I think that'd be a better system, and they're talking about how the route came to be, ie where the idea of the route came from. I know Weardale was his route, but you can really hear the passion for the route in Derek's voice as well.
Now with the Schedule up - lets think about what 'TBC' will be. Personally, I think it will be Sherman Hill or the G6. If it is not those, then what else could it be
Clone the route, and build the extension as you would a normal route, release it on Steam but don't include the assets included in the original. I think it would be nice to see someone building a route or scenario pack over a few weeks/months, outside of the Workshop streams. Perhaps tutorialising on the editor, like Nat's livery editor streams.
