Those are the ones parked at the quarry I believe Joe, who did the timetable, did say he ran out of time to do freight on the line, so maybe they intended on doing the runaround in Haywards Heath freight run which these would have been great for
I want to take a moment to talk this area in general, because on one hand, I'm glad it's been represented as I did come me about whether this area would be represented or not, but as it turns out, it is, it's just that nothing runs here at the moment. I mean, it would be nice if Great Western Express added a freight service that did come here, maybe that's something for a future update, but at least the whole area is accessible. But on the other hand, I feel like the way that this area has been represented is... actually... rather... terrible. The main problem I have with this area, as seen from the images I've taken down below, is that the siding is up on a really high embankment compared to where the aggregate place is. Whereas in real life, the track is much more level with the rest of the aggregate place, as seen in this screenshot I manage to get in Google Street View (This was the best image I could find as I wanted an image of wagon in the background the show what the track level should be around this area): So overall, this is one of those 'I'm glad it's represented, but some major reworking is needed around this area', but considering nothing currently uses this area, both in timetable and scenario mode, I doubt this is gonna happen for a very long time, if not ever.
These aggregate hoppers are used in an unloading (British trans.: discharging) scenario included with the Great Western Express* route. (Please note that I provided the route's full name -- "BML" means nothing to me.)
These wagons are part of the Ardingly freight service that would've been included if we had time. We got really close to a working example but time was against us. Had I the time, I probably would've removed them when I realised this run wasn't going to make it. Now they remain there as an echo of what would've been. Unintentionally representing the unseen effort. Bit ghostly if you ask me.
Given the quarry is a spawn point it does add something to the area, else it would just be the track and some pipes
Don't be pedantic. It's pretty standard in this community to use the letters to refer to routes, as it is far easier than typing out 'London Commuter/London to Brighton/Brighton Main Line'. Although BML is actually a double-wrong. The route in TSW2 is called London Commuter, but in real life BML isn't the code - it's actually VTB. BML refers to the Bournemouth Main Line, which is more commonly known as the South Western Main Line.
Looking at RTT for yesterday there were seven distinct movements, including a few that wouldn't be in game bar AI (Grain to Acton), a couple from the South Coast and one from Haywards Heath Sidings Friday last there were eight. So maybe not a lot, but certainly more than two
I wonder if it is likely there will be more of a freight time table added fighting for your place with the commuters.
