Hi. Is there an easier way to change gears on the class 101 on the Northern Trans-Pennine route scenarios on Train Sim World 2? I've been searching but can't find anything. If I drive a timetabled route then immersive mode is used and I can use the D-pad up and down to change the gears. In the scenarios classic mode is used and there doesn't appear to be a control for the gears. It's really frustrating having to look around to change gears. Didn't the L stick used to do this in TSW1? The L stick is supposed to control the reverser according to the control guide but that doesn't work either.
I haven't used the classic mode for a long time but I remember it worked well. However, if you find it more comfortable the immersive mode you can also use it in the scenarios. Simply select the classic mode in the settings of the main menu before entering the route. This way once inside the scenario you can choose the immersive control in the settings.
The d-pad should still change gears in classic mode. EDIT - I’ve just checked it (on PS5) and it is indeed broken. Neither the reverser nor gear controls work in classic control scheme. It’s a big bug.
Thanks for that! It worked! It's a shame it can't just be changed when in a scenario. I haven't played through a whole scenario yet so don't know if there will be problems but for now it works. Thanks again.
I think something is broken. The D pad doesn't change gears in classic mode in a scenario. However, if I start a timetabled run in immersive mode then change to classic mode the D pad works as you described it. I think this is another bug.
Before you enter on the route you put the clasic mode. Then wehn you are on the route, and in the engenier seat you change the opciones to imersive. But remember before you enter on northerm trans pennine you have to be on clasic mode and onli after you be on the seat you change. Because if you enter in imersive, the game change to clasic auto, and like that dont give you the chance to change on the opciones. I hope this help you. I play all the routes on imersive.
